Re: Suicide is not cowardly. Those who are afraid of death ARE THE REAL COWARDS!
two sides to every coin ..

what about loved ones, who are expecting someone to go through life feeling like sh-t, because they love the person & do care for him/her ? shouldn't this be labelled selfish as well ?

since some people genuinely care, it's supposed to ease the suicidal person pain & make things better in the long run ?

what if the SP is resistant to treatment, & the situation keeps getting worse ? what if there's no interest nor hope in the future ? what about someone who lives on his/her own & has no children ?

do things always get better ? do time & love really heal all wounds ? is it more about the secret ego stroke one gets out of talking someone out of suicide ?

Btw I'm not advocating suicide. Just pointing out the fact that those who commit suicide had great courage and balls to do it in the first place.
IMO only those who are afraid of death are the real cowards.

Discuss.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 6362822

And seeing this I agree even more, I wouldn't commit suicide, but I have great pride. My point is, why commit suicide, but you're on one if you think you're a bitch for it

Guys are more likely to do it because society comes down harder on guys, when a guy fails at something, everyone, and I mean everyone condemns him and looks down on him, and he gets no help even if he asks for it.

Life is really much harder on woman. Society is really cruel to woman who don't breed or are not a caregiver as society requires them to be.

Suicide is when a weak soul is possessed by a demon. The demon makes the person think that their thoughts are their own, while it controls their every action. The demon kills, and then immediately leaves. Conquest !

Don't think that suicide is an act of bravery !! They were taken over. They never made the choice. Just weak souls, who over time, lost connection with the Source - through mind control and idolatry. Only when people lose complete connection with God - can they be taken over by Satan and commit this grave sin.

I agree with this to some extent.

But with mind control technology and some individuals being directly targeted through 24/7 surveillance and invisible weapon attacks etc for their entire lives I don't agree it's just about being weak.

If this happens to you, you will understand.

god must be a real blithering fool...he never wanted us to leave the physical realm of our own free will, BUT HE PUT AN EXIT FROM IT, and left it accessable and unguarded.

so "death", the exit from the physical realm to the non-physical realm, IS there, for whoever wants to use it. the way i see it, that can only be for one of two reasons:

either 1] god seeks to entrap us, or 2] that exit exists as part of a grand design [a design that everywhere ELSE we look is ingenious and highly functional].

not being religious or having much faith in the prevailing opinion on this subject, my money is on #2.

This is an issue that I've always struggled with. Sometimes I feel like you might be right, maybe it's an act of courage to explore the other side. I'm not talking about suicide from horrible depression but choosing it with a clear mind.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2122407

My thoughts exactly, must admit though that when I was suffering severe depression I attempted suicide... glad it did not happen now but at the time I was beyond any form of help... I should be dead but for some unknown reason something happened and I cant explain why... someone/something did not allow me to go... my engine cut out on me 1st attempt and then my noose completely dissapeared and NO one would have found it nor the place I went to...or then again maybe I did die and now I am living life as usual - or so I think..but in another reality?
I am now living in the US 4,500 miles away from my home country so maybe this happened, maybe I died but stayed within this reality just in another place far away from anyone who knew what happened...oh and come to think about it about 15 years ago I was in a severe road crash in the middle of the country with 2 pals and a dog and none of us had any injuries... the emergency paramedics at the time said this was some act of god, they could not believe any of us survived or even had any damage to our body's? this one realy makes me wonder? so regardless of depression and all I also think like you about this possibilty of the other side after death... maybe I actualy dead as such.......abduct the sixth sense?

I have been close to death four times, the first time I almost drowned to death, swallowed a lot of water and lost consciousness and I can tell you there is nothing scary about it in fact it was very peaceful, I suffered severe head trauma hitting another car stopped at a light at 70 MPH, funny thing is I remember every second of the accident, as soon as the car hit everything went into slow motion and whatever fear I had just left my body and somehow I knew even though I was upside down on the seat in front of me that I was going to be ok, I had the presence of mind to duck behind the seat hitting the head rest which caused the head trauma, was almost electrocuted to death installing an air conditioning unit on a metal building when I drilled through a metal electrical conduit after my stepfather told me there was nothing there, and in 2009 almost bled out in the ER, I felt sick because my stomach was bleeding and knew I was close to death and trust me, when you're close to death you will know, but I was not scared at all, believe me when I say, none of you have anything to fear, especially not death!

Maybe suicide is the only way to escape this reality. It's like a spiritual test, are you able to give up this world enough to freely leave it behind without being forced to leave it? It's possible that a long as you cling to this world and your life you keep coming back but when you choose to abandon life you move to the next level.

think before you drink

living life by the drop, will, well, DROP you!

and harm EVERY single person around you too. THAT'S why it's legal, and if you're lucky someone else will die too. a long slow lingering demise, usually emotionally, however if you're really, REALLY lucky you just won't remember ..

wrong OP

you received a gift when your soul occupied that meatbag you're in.

suicide is throwing it back in the giver's face.

wouldn't you be a bit pissed off if someone threw their Christmas gift from you back in your face?

"When you die, you reincarnate and take the test again. You fail, you fail, you keep failing, you take the test again."

as a fairly intelligent person, i realized that this is unlikely to deter a smart individual from committing the forbidden act. the reason is simple: a person living their present life has no way of knowing that they're living it over again for the 50th time, IF that were the case... and they'd have no frame of reference for whether their present life was better or worse than their previous one. so where would the deterrent you're hoping to have come from?

all a person has to go on [when faced with any major life decision] are their beliefs about life, and those of others. all a person can do is draw guidance from their own mind [ONE type of knowledge] and from whatever spiritual resources are there [another type of knowledge]...unless "god" steps in to alter their perceptions.

[i wish that phony baloney neale donald walsch would realize all this, because he's pushing the same exact line of B.S. on his followers that YOU used.]

jane, you ignorant slut. haven't you ever gotten tired of a gift, not because you hated it or couldn't endure having it anymore but because you no longer had the same relationship with it? how long must i hold on to a gift to prove i don't despise it or it's giver?

some of us see past these superstitions. we realize that they speak falsely about life and god. some of us want to live in a different way, and we DON'T buy the B.S. that we have to be physically diseased to deserve permission for that. think of it as trading your old gift for an upgraded version.

why is the mere suggestion of that so horrifying?

Suicide is a very cowardly and selfish act. The person takes the easy way out without a second thought for the shattered lives they leave behind. Living is for the strong...suicide is for the weak. It takes more courage to change your life for the better than to end it.

I completely agree with the OP. I've worked in mental health for a long time and seen way too much suicide and misery. But it takes balls to do it and for some, I don't know, maybe it is their best option. I don't judge.

Just my 2 cents worth.

If all people on earth suicided at the same time, hell would overflow quickly, resulting in an instant zombie apokalypse.

However, since there would be no living humans left, the zombies would have nothing to eat. Therefore it's not good to propagate suicide.

If a person suicides they will have to come straight back to the earth plane and start all over again in even harsher conditions.

A suicide is not a hero nor courageous. Merely a fool who will pay the karmic price for his folly.

A suicide is afraid of living!

Life's a precious contract and ONLY the foolish dare to break it.

the same parroted, knee-jerk responses every time. will i EVER hear a fresh new thought about the forbidden act?

does every person thinking the forbidden thought want to STOP living? if you know you WON'T stop living after death, might it take a teensy-weensy bit of real courage to willingly go into the afterlife?

you're allowed to think about it.

Re: Suicide is not cowardly. Those who are afraid of death ARE THE REAL COWARDS!
Suicide is a difficult thing to understand: My Father took his own life and for a time I was pissed at him for it.

His financial situation was the cause according to the rest of the family but in my eyes he should have dropped his pride and let his kids help out but he hid it from us because he was too proud.

The old man was no coward (to stick a gun in your mouth and pull the trigger takes some balls) but I have to say he left his wife and kids to deal with his problems rather than letting us help resolve them and having the family together till the natural course of things took place.

No one wants to die, but I am not afraid of death when it comes but I won't short change my family because I don't want face the hardship.

Long story short is the I loved my father but I have a bit of an issue on how and why he existed this realm of existence while leaving other in a lurch!
