Fox News Needs To Stop This $25 Jewish Food Box Commercial

Don't watch Faux News OR the channel; I don't. And I can honestly report: I've never seen that ad. Problem solved.

Why are you so filled with anger OP. There are many older poor Jewish People throughout the former Soviet Union who welcome these gifts to celebrate Hanukkah.

As for Catholics, I'm sure that their $25 donations would be welcomed, as small individual gifts of atonement for all the Jewish People that their church has murdered down the centuries.

Hmmm....my husband and I have just been looking at these commercials in the same way that we'd look at any other commercial showing people in need. I came across this thread while looking for the name of the charity, so that we could donate. As for Catholics....we are both Catholic. We are giving regardless of whether or not they play Catholic ads in Israel, and we are giving in the spirit of brotherhood...not out of a sense of guilt for the sins our church committed as the last person commented. It's so sad that, no matter where I go on the internet and what the topic is, there is so much hate spewed in the comments section. God bless us all...Jewish,Catholic,...all! That's the message that needs to be out there. Love and peace.

There are far more worthwhile charities to give to this holiday season.

The Jewish people have a wonderful and fortunately wealthy community that is more than able to provide for these still living victims of past ignorance.

Perhaps looking at some of the many Somalian charities that are so desperate these days might be the best way to provide to those in need this year.

What's even worse is the $25 box only has about $5 worth of food in it from what I have seen. Besides the holocaust happened almost 70 years ago, how many "survivors" could possibly be left?

Thanks for giving a "shout-out" for the Somalian charities! You are right....most of that part of the world is in very desperate need. I do still feel that the Jewish food box is a good thing. Not every jewish is wealthy as so many people seem to think. Besides, aren't we supposed to give to those in need regardless of whom they are? I don't limit my gifts to the Irish,German or Lithuanian just bc that happens to be my ancestry. My husband and I give to who needs it as best we can. That includes third world countries(Food for the Poor & Americares, etc.), those in this country(Boys Town,Salvation Army & misc. others) and even to the animals (ASPCA,humane Society,etc.)and misc. others. All of these are good charities and I encourage people to give to them,too. As for Somalia...yes,a great idea. The thing that aggravates me about some of the African countries,though, is that we an give, but, some times, the present regime takes most of it and those in need get very little to none. Still, we should give in the hope that it will get to them. I do think it is important to stop focusing on who we personally are as a race,religion,etc. when it comes to donating and look at anyone in need as one of our world-wide family. I don't understand your pos to stop heping Jewish people by a donation of $25.00 you yourself may be in need & I know people would help you! God asks us to help our neighbors and bless them you need to get a life and start having compassion for others other then yourself, God loves you and and wants to Bless you too but he also wants us to Bless others. Kosher food is VERY expensive. Just 1 jar of the gefilte fish pictured in the youtube vid, is $7 at the local grocery store, and it only contains 6-8 fish patties.
The lowest I have seen it on sale was $5.49.
I eat some kosher foods, and gefilte fish is definately one of my favorites. The Tea Bisquits are great munchies, too.

I also hate that commercial. It's so phony.

Bulletin. . . they aren't.

And one charity is usually just about as worthy as another. People in need are people in need.

If you claim to be a moral person, you should strive to not hate anyone or anything.

Now in some areas it;s expected that you would have problems. It;s hard to truly let go of anger and hate for murderers, and child molesters for instance.

But for people that just happen to be different than we are? That should be doable.

Hate, anger, jealousy... these are things to be fought against. Mastered if possible and if not at least covered up in shame. No one should revel in the negativity of their uncontrolled mind.

Just to be clear that control needs to come from within yourself. No one else can do it for you, yet.

OP, these commercials show human beings in need. The fact that they are Jewish is besides the point. Your reaction to this commercial indicates you need to pull down your skirt because your hate is showing.
