Make some black tea (1.5 l) - (about 0.5 gallons) of water, cook it with one piece of cinnamon, 5 grains of clove and 8 grains pimento, squeeze the juice of one lemon in it and add the juice of 8 oranges.

if you like it sweet, add some sugar.

Serve it hot.

Very simple but very good, too.

Enjoy.

Nice receipe, I would intentionally half the number of cloves and add some black tea and one squeezed lemon.

But first I will cook this recipe in original - it looks very promising.
Thanx for the input.

This one is perfect for the holiday get-togethers, and people always ask for the recipe...

Cranberry Tea
Ingredients

* Bring to boil ten minutes:

* 2 ½ quarts water
* 1 quart cranberry juice
* ¼ cup fresh squeezed lemon juice
* 2 cups sugar
* 1 Tablespoon whole cloves
* 4 3-inch cinnamon sticks

Instructions
if you wish, you can put the cloves and cinnamon sticks tied in a cheesecloth, for easier removal....

1. Remove / strain out spices, add 9 tea bags tied together and seep 6 minutes.
2. When cooler, add
3. 1 cup orange juice.

Re: Christmas recipies...Punch required.
Hi people. Thank you so much for your recipies so far. I have to prepare a punch for a group of 25 peeps. Its being held in a church, so no alcohol permit allowed. Hence a non-alcohol recipe required. Tis the time of year, so keep them coming.

Also feel free to post any xmas recipies that you feel is pretty awsome & you have received rave reviews from your fans.

Let this be a thread for xmas goodies for all who wish to partake. Even xmas jokes are good too, but hey, keep them clean.

Hmmm, thanks for starting this thread. I plan to make cookies with a good friends daughter this week, and her parents along with the Fiance, so I was thinking of making a punch or something to sip on while doing cookies. Than taking hot chocolate for a ride while we look at christmas lights.

Oh that sounds like a nice plan.....especially the part where you take the hot chocolate along.

Have you decided on a punch yet?

My family loves this: 1 gallon of cranberry juice, 2 bottles of ginger, fresh lemons, cloves, cinnamon stick, and I put it in my big coffee maker. The filter is where I put the cloves, cinnamon stick, and sliced lemons. So good! It is a way to serve a nice hot drink most of the evening.
If you break my wings, I will just find a cloud and learn to fly again. The Lord will catch you when you fall or teach you to fly! May the footprints I leave lead you to BELIEVE.
