This problem would be fixed real fast if we gave people a time frame to get their shit together or be liquidated. Say twenty pounds a year or a gas chamber.

They should increase sales tax for unhealthy fast foods.

I'm assuming you mean a national sales tax. That money goes to the federal government. The federal government is a collection of people who murder thousands per year and steal trillions per year. The thing in Japan while recently there is that you see no fat/overweight people and I think it has a lot to do with the way they eat, the meals are cheap but not as filling as a western meal.

Edit, I should add the sumo's are massive! wonder how that will go down.

Healthy food is a lot more expensive per calorie than cheap frozen foods.

When the poor have access to fresh meats, fruits and veggies then we will see less fat in the community.

The rich eat rich and stay thin. Fatness is another blight inflicted on us by the elite.

This is anti constitutional. What I suggest is that the USDA takes a hard look at what is consider food and what is not. Some of the shit that goes into fast food would be unthinkable of 40 years ago and it belongs in chemistry experiment not a chicken nugget.

The other thing is education and physical fitness and a change in school food cafeteria.

I'm only 30 But I always see how in 50's and 60's movies students did so much in their PE class. Now in days kids get an A in P.E.for changing and sitting down with their cellphones during the whole PE class

tell you what to do, exercise; hey you are fat you will cost the government more money, so if we have to, we will force you to exercise, or cut off your food. Make it illegal for you to eat certain things

A lot of things start in Japan as a testbed but i think the US govt is encouraging obesity as a way to reduce the population.
