from what i read on some forums, there was a debate as to weather it was alcohol or compressed air. not much of a gearhead myself so can't answer that with any accuracy.

Not necessarily. Many tiny engines use a nitro-meth glow plug system. Since this is a demonstration engine you could leave out things like a throttle using a fixed port size for air intake combined with carefully metered fuel instead.

On an unrelated note, you could never run that engine very long unless you manualy oil the valves. I didn't see any oiling mechanism for them and I'm not even sure there is any in the crank case to lube the pistons.

No, aside from the small amount of oil he used when installing the pieces i didn't see anything else that would assist in lubricating it.

This guy could even build a small jet engine....very impressive.

I'm still sticking with nitro-meth glow plugs. The exhaust is invisible. Nitro-meth flames when burning are also invisible. It's also a very common RC fuel here in the states anyway.

Your right about the lubrication, but I still say it's just a demonstration engine.

And a very well done one at that.
