I've Never Had the Flu..anyone else like me?

I've traveled lots..been to America a few times..never got the flu there either.

once whaen i was ten, but I think it was somthing more than the flu. Yet I have nothing to compare it to.

Did you have a fever? I have had head colds but never with fevers or aches or anything like that. So I can't even relate to what people are talking about when they describe flu symptoms.

I've been exposed to it..family members and at work..but it never gets me.

I don't think I've had the flu since I was a kid, just the occasional cold.

I was on the toilet and puking at the same time, but it only lasted a few hours.

had the stomach flu once, i think

never had a cavity though. no fillings, still got all my teefs, including wisdom. im 40yrs old

I have a fear of the park at night..oh and aliens.

I did once in '92 or '93 when I was pushing myself too hard...I run myself down and it jumped on me...

I was watching The Doctors..and they were going on about the flu shot..that made me think about it. Then I realized I have never had the flu. That made me wonder if there are people who for whatever reason are immune to it?

I never did care for sweets, I think that has a lot to do with it...diseases of every kind seem to love sugar.

Same here, seems like every one I know who get the flu shot end up getting the flu lol what a bunch of suckers.

the flu would be a lot less debilitating if we just ate properly and slept enough.

i used to be like you then i got a crappy job and great children its very hard to eat right and sleep enough under those conditions

but before i noticed when everyone else was getting sick
id just end up feeling a little tired or a tinkle in my throat etc.

oh by the way the quality of the food also has a lot to do with it and the food in australia is so much better than here in the usa

All 3 kids don't get the shot either, the oldest got it once because his dad signed the paper for school without my knowledge, he was so sick that year that he vomited so hard his blood vessels in his eyes burst.

The girl (middle child) had a 24 hour bug once, she'd been in the DR office for her 24month check up got sick 2days later, it was awful.

Never had the flu or the shot. In fact never had an infection..broken bone or a fever either.

I think a good diet would be part of it. But then you have those health fanatics that are paranoid to be around sick people cause they know they always catch it. I like to bake and eat pies...but I never drink soda of any kind.

I finally convinced my parents to stop getting the flu shot...my sister is a nurse and would give it to them every year, and every year they got the flu...I kept telling them the shot is working...you got the flu shot and got the flu, what did you expect?

Same..never had a fever or infection of any kind. I wonder if that is actually more common than we are led to believe.

Idk. Maybe we are just really healthy. My temp stays at 97 so 98.6 is high for me. I don't stay away from sweets or soda and I'm not a clean freak..the way I se it is our bodies were made to be around stuff wout shots and meds so I just live my life.

No, it probably helps build a defense to it, but of course the virus mutates every season...

I've never been diagnosed with flu, never had a flu jab or shot, and I'm a natural born American. About once every year or two I contract a sinus infection which causes me to have a runny nose, sore throat and sometimes congestion. It gives me a mild temperature (usually 99.5 and never higher than 100) and I usually only miss a day or two of work per year due to illness. I am 42 and this has been the case for all of my adult life. I used to get tonsillitis when I was a kid, but grew out of that and still have my tonsils. My wife? 43 and never gets the flu, never gets the flu jab, natural born American. In fact, the only people I know who get the flu are those who get the flu jab. It's insane. They rationalize it by saying their flu is milder than it would normally be, but they still miss 3-6 days of work every episode, sometimes even more. DNA injections laced with heavy metals... you can take mine for me. I'll pass.

I have NEVER had the flu either. NEVER EVER. I have never had a flu shot either. In fact I used to wonder, "what is the flu?' I have colds, sniffles, maybe even bronchitis; but I never have experienced a cold with a stomach problem and a fever. What the hec is that? Sounds dreadful. YUCK.

Now, I do have vitiligo; where the skin losing portions of its pigmentation, you know, Michael Jackson's skin disease. It is an autoimmune disease.

I learned from the preeminent website on the subject of vitiligo, that people with this issue have a virulent immune system for basic stuff like the flu? Made sense to me.

Something good comes out of a crap situation. My skin looks like a pinto horse. At least I never get the flu. And I believe that I will never have it.

I've never been sick with the flu either. However, I was told once that everyone gets the flu, but some people (like us) don't exhibit any symptoms. Perhaps that's the case. In any event, we're lucky. I had a flu shot once. They told me to take it easy. Instead, I stayed up all night partying. The next day I felt like I had been hit by a truck. So I think I got a small sample of what the flu is. Not pleasant!!
