This Jurassic Park is the only place on Earth, where can be viewed many ancient plant species, was found in the Sino-Tibetan mountains in China (see the map at the top of this article). The discovery were made by the Spanish biologist Jordi Lopez and scientists from the Chinese Academy of Sciences in a place, called Tiger Leaping Gorge. As reported by scientists: "Our expedition found a large number of ancient relict plants in the Sino-Tibetan mountains, which nowhere else in the world do not occur and are a special type of flora. These plants appeared on Earth in the Cretaceous and Jurassic, and now they are truly living fossils". According to scientists, this phenomenon is explained by the fact, that many millions of years ago, on this area of the Northern Hemisphere was located a forest, which almost completely disappeared after the climate began to change, but in the Sino-Tibetan mountains was created an environment, that helped to keep the ancient climate and many ancient plants could not only survive, but for millions of years to evolve into a completely new species of plants, that are nowhere else on Earth do not occur. However, in Tiger Leaping Gorge in Sino-Tibetan mountains were discovered only by representatives of the ancient flora, but representatives of fauna of an ancient Jurassic – a Dinosaurs have not been able to find in these mountains, although the presence of ancient plants in this area can also theoretically prevent the presence of ancient animals.
