Assuming everything you and others are saying about the militarization of local police is true, look at these facts:

1.) Local police, sheriffs, and state troopers are few in number compared to the entire population of any area, whether rural or urban.

2.) Regardless of how well they are equipped, they can control only small areas and a few people at any given time.

3.) They are regular people just like the rest of the population, and they are not interested in whacking on anyone except violent people and criminals.

No, because they think they can blame someone else for what they are actually doing, starting over 40 years ago, with their whims about the U. S. Constitution. Tell that to 1930's Germany or the Soviet citizens....how about the Chinese etc.

Considering I've served in both the Marine Corps and Army, and a State Police agency...I know what they are capable of doing to the citizenry here in my state. There's plenty of video evidence on the internet. So you continue to be naive.

Sure has been a ramp up. I'm really worried about that new bill, I hope it gets vetoed for sure.

Police Depts. have been receiving Military Surplus equipment since at least the mid 90's. Everything from automatic weapons, to armored vehicles to gernade launchers. Its been a long and huge buildup. And Yes, its for Martial Law preps. I spoke to one senior cop in the 90's about it and he said it was because the bad guys were getting more and more heavily armed. When I told him it was for martial law he just laughed. It does little good now that I was right.

Police are going to be used as sandbags and shock troops. The NWO knows these guys can't beat Americans in a fight but that's not their purpose anyway.

Their mission is three-fold. First off, not matter what happens during martial law, the media will use stories of wounded and dead cops for propaganda purposes to help mobilize the people to support troops on our streets. Secondly, cops will be used to buy time for military troops to get into containment position. Thirdly, after troops are in position and taking over operations, police will be used to back them up.

To support my claim, look at all these FEMA exercises. They always have police, military and homeland security working side by side. Also, remember, in the 1990's every government agency that you can think of now has a contingent of people who are armed and trained. Not just police. Further evidence that TPTB have been planning this crisis for a loooooong time.

That explains why Surprise, AZ just received a $250,000 urban assault vehicle from the feds. The biggest crimes here are shoplifting, vandalism and small stuff like that.

This thing is made for urban warfare. It's insane. This is a retirement community full of golf courses and old people. Why would they need a vehicle that has machine gun ports and special tubes that shoot out punching holes in houses to inject tear gas? Geez.

But now it makes sense.

I drove by the police training academy in San Antonio, TX this weekend and saw a plethora of new toys in their parking lot being demonstrated. I would have took a pic but didnt really think much of it. It was a big black SWAT van, unmarked, with what looked like an LRAD on top. There were a bunch of officers standing in a crowd around it like it was being shown off. They also had other trailer mounted devices that possibly could be used in crown control. All the items were painted in flat black paint.

Something is going down...

They will try to hold on to power at any cost...

They are also trumping up charges on people they feel might be leaders and in many cases simply killing them.
It is quite easy to destroy a persons credibility and functionality as a leader when you control the media, courts and police departments. My feeling on it is a certain level of incarceration of people who are likely to resit will be reached and then they will make their move, by publicly announcing the suspension of the Bill of rights and the militarization of the police force.

How many of you realize we now have over 5% of our population imprisoned, and that the vast majority are member's of organized gangs and organizations known to armed and likely to resist an oppressive government? This is why so many serious criminals are released on probation, because they don't have room for the ones who are not considered a danger to the agenda.

I know why, because he predicted down to the detail the 911 false flag and if he had lived he would have sparked a rebellion that would have spread like wildfire. Try to find Bill Coopers predictions on how airplanes crashed into buildings would be used as a pretext to crack down on civil rights.

First off, I don't know where you live, nor do I care. However, being a resident of Hillsborough county, I can tell you that rolling out an armored personnel carrier onto the streets of Tampa is absurd. At Occupy Tampa's very peak the amount of protesters present was laughable at best.

They don't even use this type of equipment Gasparilla, guavaween, or even a wild night at Ybor- which BTW MANY, MANY more people attend. They're trying to send a message to people to STFU and go home. After all, intimidation is what the corrupt Tampa Police Department is best at. That and overlooking real crime, of course.
