Modern man is SOOO naive/oblivious to our 'celestial clock'!

Two thousand plus years removed from any 'celestial interaction' leaves us blind and staggering through our final days. 'As in the days of Noah'...did you know that it hadn't rained, prior to the 'Great Flood', for 160 years? Noahs' neighbors thought he was CRAZY building a boat for a big rain event...they forgot what rain was! Sounds familiar!

I wonder what it's like to spend your whole life believing in made up stuff that doesn't exist, or doesn't actually mean anything useful.. must be fun.

Hella Thanks, OP. This was truly fascinating. I've always been fascinated with the knowledge of our ancestors, but this takes the cake! 3.14? A giant clock? Utter genius...

I've been going through the roughest time of my life, and this really gave me some hope that we will see the dawning of a New Age of Light in 2012. God knows there is enough doom on GLP for anyone who wants it. Combine that with current national and global events, and we could seemingly all use some positivity!
