Two Traveling Angels...Things Aren't Always What They Seem

Strange question, but....here goes. Do you think angels would be permitted to say curse words?? This is a serious question...I was at a low time in my life and I had an encounter at a bar. He told me his story of how he died in a car accident, but was pulled out of the wreckage by someone (which was odd). The remainder of the night he just sat at the bar and would look my way every now and then as I played pool. Very odd....either he was crazy or I he was guarding me that night. I still don't know what to make of it.

Also the man relayed a story perhaps to warn a younger person or convey some awareness-or to examine what happened with another pair of eyes...

Are swear words really that bad? They were made by man, do they really mean anything and have power?

Maybe he was saved from the wreckage by an angel and the fact that I showed interest in his story made him look out for me that night. Who knows...the last thing he said to me was "I did not make it....(i am just being silent at this point....what do you say to that?) Do you know what I mean?" I reply...."I think so". And that was the end of it.

Thanks Lisa, this really brightened up my day! I want to apologize to you indirectly as I saw this thread I thought to myself oh dear not another Lisa thread..I believe in God. But been kind of low in my life, not depressed but trying to figure things out. And been kind of frustrated with all those whom preach to me hellfire and you're going to burn in hell if you don't do this and that. I have many of these folks on my fb and it has discouraged me at times.

Not to say that you're like that. Your posts are uplifting but been feeling like it's time to go home but wondering if it will ever happen or maybe I am a delusional nut! lol My family thinks me nuts for believing in Jesus. And I only have myself to keep me going with my faith. It's been a long struggle to say the least. But I know God is not going to give up on me nor will I give up on Him I love Him too much. He is all I truly have in this world. My one true love. Guess I am just a bit angry with all those whom preach that Jesus's sacrifice did not finish it... but I just want to apologize even if you don't understand.

You're a beautiful shining light in a world of darkness and I wish more people were like you. To build folks up with God's Holy Word, not bring them down in doubt and despair. May the Father always bless you and bless those in need and comfort them that are in pain, suffering or in lack! May this Christmas be more brighter for those in poverty and fear. Thank you Father, thank you Jesus, thank you Holy Spirit for all the good things and blessings you've given your children. We love you always.

Interesting thing that I just thought of while watching that video about heaven.

"He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment;and I will not blot his name out of the Book of Life, but I will confess his name before My Father,
and before His angels."--Revelation 3:5.

When we get to heaven, we are given a pure white garment to wear, a type of white robe. There are rooms in heaven, where the saints that died before us weave the fabric for our robes on giant looms.

That fabric is alive, just like everything in the Kingdom of Heaven is alive, alive with the testimony of God's Glory. Everything worships and gives glory to God in heaven....even the waters, grass and the flowers, everything.

Anyway, your white raiment is also alive, and woven into every thread in your garment is a living testimony of everything that you did for Christ while you were living. You will wear that living testimony garment forever. Everything that you did for the Lord is woven into your own personal garment.

Pretty awesome, huh?

Two Traveling Angels

Two traveling angels stopped to spend the night in the home of a wealthy family. The family was rude and refused to let the angels stay in the mansion's guest room.

Instead the angels were given a small space in the cold basement. As they made their bed on the hard floor, the older angel saw a hole in the wall and repaired it. When the younger angel asked why, the older angel replied, "Things aren't always what they seem."

The next night the pair came to rest at the house of a very poor, but very hospitable farmer and his wife. After sharing what little food they had the couple let the angels sleep in their bed where they could have a good night's rest.

When the sun came up the next morning the angels found the farmer and his wife in tears. Their only cow, whose milk had been their sole income, lay dead in the field.

The younger angel was infuriated and asked the older angel how could you have let this happen? The first man had everything, yet you helped him, she accused. The second family had little but was willing to share everything, and you let the cow die.. "Things aren't always what they seem," the older angel replied.

"When we stayed in the basement of the mansion, I noticed there was gold stored in that hole in the wall. Since the owner was so obsessed with greed and unwilling to share his good fortune, I sealed the wall so he wouldn't find it."

"Then last night as we slept in the farmers bed, the angel of death came for his wife I gave him the cow instead.

"Things aren't always what they seem."

Sometimes that is exactly what happens when things don't turn out the way they should. If you have faith, you just need to trust that every outcome is always to your advantage. You just might not know it until sometime later...

I think that a good reminder for people is that we are ALL God's children and he knows how we treat each other. We will have to stand before the Lord and feel every instance of when we've put others down or attempted to make them feel bad or even just ignored. All of God's children are important and what you do to God's children IS known by God.

Would this story not imply that death is a negative thing? If you are a follower of Christ death is really life.

And what do you think the "Holy Spirit" is, if not a link to your "Higher Self"?

yes, there are some the hear these words/mental pictures while meditating/praying.
Some channel god/jesus and other religious figures, some channel aliens from distant systems.

It can be hard to understand and take serious if you do not believe in it, but if you always try to have an open mind and yet still have enough spirit to ask question and not just follow blindly, I don't see the harm :O)

there is no point in attacking it, simply because you don't understand, I understand the feeling and motive behind this, but it is not the correct thing to do.

AMEN! Everyone is important, everyone. Animals are also important to God too, they are precious and loved also.

angels are real. the can appear in many different forms. Sometime people have actually seen them as angelic beings with wings. Other times, angels take the form of humans and come and help at dire points in ones life.

I have had 3 angel encounters during a crisis time. How do I know they are angels? Once because my car was supernaturally driven to safety and twice where they came in human form and helped out and then disappear in a blink.
