How to hear the voice of God

Repent! Repent! Repent!

You can't hear God's voice if you are listening to, and looking at, and worshipping idols.

Whats an Idol?
Its the thing in your heart that you put in place of God...its a sin. You may enjoy it and it may motivate you, but it seperates you from hearing God because you cant hear and serve God if your ears and eyes are on your idol instead.

Examine yourself. Find the areas in you that are sin and let go of them, turn your eyes and ears to God instead of the Idol. Then you will be able to see and hear God in your life.

How do you know if you have a sin or an Idol?
Ask God to show you them in Prayer. When you approach God in prayer, his light will begin to expose in your heart the sin that your hiding and don't want exposed, or don't want to let go of, or don't want to confront in your heart...the place you don't want to go because its humiliating and you know that it would cost you to confess it, and repent of it. The closer you approach to God the more that sin will be brought to the light. Thats why most cant hear God...because they hide in the darkness in order to keep their sin from coming into the light.

Jesus shows the way back to God via the cross. Jesus humbled himself and took the form of a man. You can find God at the foot of the cross. Follow him. Goto the foot of the cross on your knees and find him. When you find those things in your heart that are sin, lay them at the foot of the cross and confess them and ask Jesus to come into your heart and be your LORD and SAVIOR. Many want jesus as SAVIOR, but how many also would submit to him as LORD? To hear his voice in your heart, you must make him lord...the thing that serve instead of your idols. Remove the idols from your heart and ask Jesus to come in and be LORD instead. LET YOUR IDOLS GO and you will hear God.

He knocks at the door of your heart, will you let him in? Will you let him be your Lord and Savior? DO YOU MIND IF HE SPEAKS TO YOU? Your heart was built for JESUS not Idols!

When your motivation is Jesus, to know Jesus, to serve Jesus, you will seek after him and not the things of your sin or of the world, and you will find him. And he will begin speaking to you and you will hear, and obey. If you do not obey it is because you have an idol that is more important to you than Jesus and you serve and hear that only. HEAR JESUS INSTEAD! REPENT!

Read the bible. Get to know him, his character, and his voice. Pray, get to know him personally and spirutally. HE WILL DRAW YOU TO HIM IF YOU LET HIM.

Many of you don't let him because of doubt. You hear only the things that would block out the voice of God. You hear the skepticism in your heart and say God must come to you and speak...and you say where is he. BUT IT IS YOU that must GO TO GOD! HE IS GOD AND YOU ARE NOT!

Even so, he did come to us through his son, and he humbled himself and took on the form of a man in order to come to us. Now accept him and go to him..and you will hear his voice. Pray, ask, seek, but above all else, humble yourself and search and clean yourself of your sins and unrighteousness...make straight the path of the lord with repentance so that he can come into your heart and you might HEAR HIM!

He is real. He is a living God, not a fairy tale story. He really did come and he will come again just as the bible says. Let him into your heart before he returns the second time, when he comes to judge the works of all men.

Here is the evidence that you know the voice of God is real...you hide your sins in darkness. You would not hide from the light if the light did not exist...and Jesus is the light of the world, don't be left in the darkness. He is coming soon, repent and accept him now!

Read the third chapter of Genesis. See how Adam and Eve hid from the voice of God in fear? See how they tried to cover up, so their sin would not be exposed? They ran from the voice of God because they were afraid of him. How far from the voice of God are you? Confess, repent, accept Jesus. Draw near to him and he will draw near to you. When you know Jesus, then you will begin to hear the voice of God in your heart.

The voices of doubt will try to drown out the voice of God. Doubt the doubt. Have faith. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Read the bible. Repent. Obey.

His sheep know his voice. Become his sheep and he will guide you along the paths of righteousness. Follow him, he knows the way, and you can too, if you follow him and hear him and obey. Trust in him. Hear the voice of God.
