VIDEO of Captured Drone - IRAN Releases Video of Stealth Drone WITH NO DAMAGE TO DRONE! | |
Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 3919151 United States 12/08/2011 12:29 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | "BBC security correspondent Frank Gardner says the intact condition of the Sentinel tends to support the claim by Iran that its forces electronically hijacked the plane and steered it to the ground. The US says simply that the aircraft suffered a malfunction" Perhaps it was so stealth, when we lost control we just didn't know where it was to destroy it! |
Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 3919151 United States 12/08/2011 12:31 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Or maybe it did just have a malfunction and that is why they are not showing the bottom (covering it with the wood and flags). Perhaps it scraped the ground on the bottom with no landing gear (fits malfunction idea). |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 3919151 United States 12/08/2011 12:44 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The fact we did not destroy it means we did not know where it was, we were not able to destroy it, or loosing the technology to our enemies was less of a risk than the consequences (backlash) if we did destroy it. |

It looks like we shipped it to them in box, gift wrapped with a bow for chrisitmas. Either the usa landed it there on purpose in iran,or iran hacked it,those are the only two options! It obviously landed very very very safely. |

Maybe the US bought cheap software developers from China who put their signature in the code.... [link to www.csoonline.com] My life is not my own |

I love physics. It bonds us eternally, it's what makes our computers work, it's what's in my morning cup of coffee, it's the thing that keeps the universe from vanishing due to lack of belief... |
GeekOfTheWeek User ID: 6060705 United States 12/08/2011 06:32 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Cool looking drone. I didn't even know they had such a device...until now..lol Quoting: Anonymous Coward 6367464 Actually this one is QUITE old. It's been around for at least 5 years... I love physics. Maybe the US bought cheap software developers from China who put their signature in the code.... Quoting: DeathManGuy [link to www.csoonline.com] Great find DeahtManGuy... Here is part of that article: "No secret data is said to have been stolen but the report implies that the engineers at the base can't be sure. The chance of a PC keylogger directly disrupting drone control systems is vanishingly remote. Those systems will be isolated, both from base systems and from the Internet and they will not be running Windows" WOW!! Looks like their fears came true. |
Iranian dude User ID: 7080661 Venezuela 12/13/2011 10:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | trojan horses LOLZ Its not like they surf the internet with the drones:| "Perhaps it was so stealth, when we lost control we just didn't know where it was to destroy it!" this made my day:)))))) these drones have a system that if they get hacked they just go back to the base they flew from but it seems we hacked it badly |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1542840 United States 06/29/2012 01:55 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A Disinfo Drone with faulty engineering hoping Iran (Russia, China) use that to base their tracking/defensive measures on... all while the real deal operates completely different than this one?!? Also known as the trojan horse. That is a good theory. you would think these super expensive high tech drones would have some kind of self destruct mechanism in case of capture. Perhaps there are some "special" units, that if manufactured identically, could be turned back against the country that deployed them. |
IMAX User ID: 17875035 Canada 06/30/2012 06:51 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | you peeps are so gullible that you believe the drone was either a gift, malfunctioned or a trojan horse. you just cannot admit that the iranians beat you guys in this. you think they're stupid sandis. you should know your enemies before you go to war. if you know your enemies before war then you're the winner. sorry but this time america lost Imagine if there was no country Stop the Sabre Rattlings and Wars |
Lucky Charms User ID: 18771347 Ireland 06/30/2012 06:59 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Not necessarily, the case for a Trojan horse is quite good. It's the sort of thing you'd hope America was capable of coming up with. Plus wouldn't it be rather clever of our American friends to manipulate Iran into a huge costly drone program, diverting resources from their nuke program... or at least cool the priority a bit. You know the Iranians are fucking creaming themselves to have gotten hold of this tech... this will be their next big thing. I'd crack up if they built 2000 drones that promptly flew home to the US and landed safely full of Iranian data lol. 'Magically Delicious' |
