Message from Phoenix

My take on this is that the revaluation of the Iraqi Dinar can happen anytime from this moment forward (NOW) and the decision they have made to do this will not change (irreversable).

It also states the value of the Iraqi Dinar will be equal to one US Dollar or 1 IQD = $1.00

They rate this rate will remain at this level for a 2 year period (bienium) and will be held at the 1 to 1 rate by the auctions.

I have always thought the starting rate would be 1 IQD to 1 USD to avoid confusion in the market place. As i have been saying.

Looks like we are about to see the removal of the artificial program rate and the revaluation of the Iraqi Dinar to a rate of 1 IQD = $1.00

Things are looking good.

Well that one is plagued with bad translations I think. But it would seem to be saying that if you buy iraqi dinar for 1170 to one after the zero's are deleted you will have a value of $1 for each dinar. And that the US will be getting Iraqi oil cheap, in essence. He seems to be saying its the Iraqi people that are getting screwed in the process. sk

I believe this article is referring to the same things and its a little easier to understand.

Ok - just checking... things this am were sounding like lopster talk...

Sounds like the person writing the article, an opinion piece, is seeing the set up. Good for the US and perhaps not so good for Iraq. But having said that, it depends on your perception of the benefits to Iraq or lack thereof by the US taking out Saddam.

Although you mention the IQD team in your post, this doesn't seem to originate from their analysis. But is a another rendition, more in depth, than the second article you posted in regards to the dinar. sk

This is my first post on here. Looks like we are close to a RV. On AKNews online they said the ISX(Iraq stock exchange) will be closed fromDecember 20th-January3rd 2012. AKNews is an online newspaper that is from Iraq. Also, Obama and Maliki both said Iraq is a soverign nation today. In order to be a soverign nation you have to have a tradable economy meaning the RV has to be close. Also, in order to be a sov. nation you cant be in chapt7 bankruptcy and you would need to revalue the money. I'll keep my fingers crossed tonight. Lastly, the International Monetary Fund meets with the World Trade Organization next week and they only meet once every two years. If Iraq wants to import/export goods and kick start their economy they have to act fast.
