LoL, Rev! I don't think dinarvet Trinity is the same as our Trinity. I remember a thread where our Trinity said the dinar was a S.C.A.M.

Thread: somebody told me about investing in Iraq, Dinar

Going to read your link. Will return and contribute, if I understand it.

I like this one better. It explains how it only costs Iraq $130 to exchange 10,000 dinar.

Simply put, it cost Iraq $130 USD from their foreign currency reserve accounts to redeem the value of 10,000 IQD, which goes into their operating accounts. At the same time the US got $10,000 worth of oil for a net cost of $6,500. Thats how it was originally planned for Iraq to RV at 1 IQD = 1 USD, with the variable being the political element (i.e. UN Sanctions, GOI actions, IMF actions, World Bank actions etc.)

Telling ya this now, its not going to happen.

They are going to release new dinar notes, no value change. There is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to much stolen Dinar floating around just waiting for this to happen.

They are going to use this to shake out the hoarding terrorists.

THEN, they will float for value, and see how it plays out.

Dont be surpized to see a " In country exchange", Just like before, when they issued the current, " REPLACEMENT" notes. NEVER, EVER EVER did Iraq say these current notes were permanent..

So, look for a redenomination, not a revalue..

From the guys at DinarAlert regarding the above article.

Admin_Bob:
Hard to tell If they mean staging rate of 1 to $1 here or free floating currency up to the $. Either way, it's good news.

Kaperoni:
Free fall=free float.

Imo, free float is what its going to do. Enorrste agrees and it only makes sense based on what actions and information we have. No need for a trading platform unless there is something to trade. Let it come to us.

I think we will see some movement but I would suspect that it will not be the huge Rv that is expected. I think he's just saying Ban has said he supports it. It definitely hasn't been released yet, but the Sec General being in favor is a good step. Here's another good summary of the latest developments.

9-30-2012 SWFloridaGuy: Over the past few years we've all read statements that the IQD would be on par with the USD "In the coming days," a number of times. However, this line in the statement tells me it's not a rerun article at all. "One important factor to the high exchange rate of the dollar against the dinar in the past summer months is the high demand and tight supply and exploitation of banking companies for citizens to raise the price of the dollar, prompting the central bank to increase supply in the currency auction." Now whether or not this claim is factually based and will actually transpire remains to be seen, but coming from Chief Economist Majid does give it a bit more tenability then just some anonymous random economist. Couple this press release with the temporary oil and gas agreement (payments initiated today), Ban Ki Moon at least giving the appearance of being in Iraq's corner regarding sanctions, Parliament voting on the Infrastructure law tomorrow and a possible National Meeting in the works and I'd say things are looking very promising. All we can do is let this play out and hope for the best.

Here's from Russell from DinarAlert. Russell is the third commentator on their calls and is a currency trader from Australia. He's also been on the Revalue Call with Proteus, Enoch8, and Patriot.

Russell from Oz:
I agree with Bob, its difficult to say what this means, whether float or RV, I tend to interpret this as a direct RV to 1:1 myself.

A currency can't "free float" 100,000% in a few days, that would create outright pandamonium.

I remain a bit sceptical of this article either way.
