I think it is, calin, but it's just an agreement, not the actual law. Maybe the law gets done when Parliament comes back next week. Thanks for reminding me about that, though. Maybe not such a coincidence Ch7 and HCL getting done at the same time.

Sorry for the delayed response . . . like Revbo, I think it would be worth the financial and legal advice that Adam will provide upon RV. Of course, I am not privy yet to what that might be and don't know anything about what kind of spread deals that he will offer, so taking a bit of a chance on the investestment of $68 approx for 6 months membership special that he has going right now. I do like the SK's approach if it is iron clad . . .

Sorry to disagree but I've never liked Adam Montana for solid reasons. I do not trust him.

In one of the posts today one of the dinar investors mentioned putting the dong and dinar into a foreign account. What do you think ReVbo? If the dollar tanks is the ding dong safe?

Carello:
Did the 11 billion or missing bodies and manuscripts come as a surprise to anyone? It has been talked about for years. Is that enough to hold a country and its people back from progress and entering into the international game? No, and the UNSC, international individuals that look at the world with a broad view, saw that when they took a unanimous vote yesterday to lift designated sanctions on Iraq. Do you think CitiBank would be closing operations in Turkey and Pakistan to concentrate business on Iraq if there were a problem? Doesn't seem so. Do you think CitiBank didn't know how the vote would go yesterday? Don't be naive and say no. Do you think the debt to Kuwait (that has an agreement to paid..such a minor, insignificant detail) will make a difference to a bank looking to make money? Did you ever have to pay alimony? Didn't mean you didn't get the divorce.
Think. Then if you want to sell, I will buy, and I will include a razor blade, a box of Kleenex, and a reality check with the purchase price.

Kaperoni:
Geez, relax. Iraq needs to get access to funds to payoff Kuwait. Give them a few. These discuusionis already took place last week. They will pay them.

Revbo:
This is exactly what was talked about last week, that they would let them out of Ch7 fully when Kuwait was paid back. Now, Maliki has that formal assurance that it will happen, and they can get on with their monetary change, pay Kuwait, and we can all retire. See? It's all good, y'all.

After the close of markets today then we will see the news come out.

Expect a major media blitz rolling out the news of Iraq getting out of sanctions and then we will get blasted all over CNN, FOX, CNBC and other main stream news with all kinds of positive images of the progress made in Iraq and all of their wealth and wealth potential.

This will be done for 2 reasons. One reason would be to give an explanation to the average person why Iraq's currency has such greater value.

The other reason will be to show Iraq as a success to get the American people to support military action in Syria.

Will be very interesting to see if that happens. Inconvenient news always gets dumped on a Friday afternoon, so it would certainly fit the pattern. It could also be that our news just doesn't really care, but we shall see. If we see Iraq competing for time with Trayvon on the cable channels over the weekend, we'll know we're almost home.

Re: Iraq an economic Study
6-27-13 Doc: Yes, today brought the best news in years. Chapter 7 is now behind Iraq. We believe this signals that Maliki has been neutralized and/or deals struck to now truly move forward. We emphasis move forward in that that as we have always reported we need to see the HCl passed as this continues to be the big kahuna still unresolved. We are giddy in that we think it could come fairly quickly now.

The question is will it before Ramadan. The answer is who knows for sure but if not we would be surprised if it wasn't passed shortly afterwards. All-in-all this is a landmark day for Iraq and us.

The rate question will now be debated ...we're sure. The interesting thing is the articles hinting at potential rates have been as numerous as those leading up to chapter 7 release. The main gist of these are centered around moving the rate toward 1000 and then 1 to 1 as a two year goal. The implication appears to be a "float" strategy and could be free or managed.

At this point is is difficult to pin down. However, it is pretty clear that the strategy is a slow but sure increase in value. This actually makes the most economic sense for Iraq. The CBI can "remove the zeros" much more economically this way then a straight RV to 1. The good news in all this is the show appears to be finally gearing up to proceed forward. We report, you decide.

I doubt we will see a slow float, perhaps a a large jump and then a float. But a slow float, would be suicide do the amount of large money speculation it would attract. The dinar value would roller coaster leading to instability, which if I were them I would want to avoid at all costs. Just my two cents.

Well Greetings everyone.

Yes, I am aware of what is happening and has happened. (Iraq out of CH7)

Ray and I had a call with a few people today and we feel that in order to control their economy, they will need to make some sort of adjustment to their currency in a reasonable amount of time. This is something that will not drag on.

Now I would like you all to start watching for the news of the budget being opened and disbursed. This will be very telling as to the timing of the revaluation.

Remember, Ray's contacts have been reporting back to us that the media is telling the citizens that they are going to revalue their currency one to two days after the removal of Chapter VII.

You all have a safe July 4th holiday. FYI, I am not saying after the 4th. Let's get this clear now. Blessings, Steve

I also think Blaino is a shyster and don't trust him either.

Just an FYI, purchasing dong or dinar from Ebay is a big risk. One needs the receipts from the purchase from the foreign currency dealer when going to the bank in order to get CCC ( "clean, clear and non-criminal origin of funds") letter from the bank. Why is this important? Think about it....

The bank will Bank will turn in FINCEN form 104 for the foreign currency exchange. Then depositor may chose to invest in Treasury Notes, Tax Free Bonds, precious metals, open foreign currency accounts, spread money (250k) into CDARS insured accounts, purchase an Annuity. open up a Trust Account, etc. - you need a CCC for these various transactions to prove the money being used has been cleared and is of non-criminal origins.

TrinityExchange puts it better than anyone I've seen today about the $11B still in Ch7. Oh yeah, and Blaino is full of it. I go back and forth on Montana, but he has said, since the day I got into this, we need HCL and Ch7 to get paid, and hasn't wavered. He's also always said he would only close VIP when he thought we were right there, and hasn't ever given an actual date when he would close it. I guess we shall see if he extends the closing tomorrow, but he's been at this for what, 5 or 6 years at DV and never closed VIP before, right? He may just be trying to sell subscriptions, but he only gets to pull that trigger once before everybody says he's a BS artist, so he better get it right.

TrinityExchange:
After re-re-reading the informatino in Chapter 7, I hate to come to the conclusion my friends that Iraq is out of Chapter VII HOWEVER not entirely. Chapter VII is composed of multiple provisions just like peanut butter crackers inside of a snack pack. If there are six crackers in a pack, each cracker would be a provision. There is one cracker still left in the pack and that is the provision surrounding the $11B downpayment owed to Kuwait. Maliki has yet to fulfill every clause.

In my opinion, this is not a bad thing for our investment. I believe this was the failsafe put in by the International Community to ensure Maliki didn't take the money (ie DFI) and run without giving us our due. He has to enact the already passed HCL agreement and release the money. This is when we get paid as investors. Really it is all tying in together with the HCL which will proliferate the currency's value. So we wait for the HCL agreement to be announced and then I believe there will be a full release from Chapter VII as Iraq will have the funds necessary to pay their bills.

Here is the portion that many of us seem to have missed or ignored:

Unanimously Adopting Resolution 2107 (2013), Security Council Removes Iraq from Chapter VII Obligations over Return of Kuwaiti Nationals

We saw the part written before that and assumed it meant everything under Chapter VII however the UNSC has specifically stated the PROVISION which Iraq was no longer being obligated. In this case it is the provision over "Return of Kuwaiti Nationals". This does not equate all of the provisions being lifted. $11B is still to be resolved.

Re: Iraq an economic Study
Well its all well and good for those who recently purchase dinar. But some of us that bought 8 years ago did not receive the same paper work their passing out now. I do have the original envelop they came in and could possibly track down the credit card payment, but what a hassle that would be.

What does that have to do with the price of gold and getting my dinar exchanged in time to get a good spot price on gold.

Re: Iraq an economic Study
For the past year, they've done nothing but trash talk the dinar and it's done nothing but decrease in value. Sounds like they're doing the exact opposite now, and building demand. Iraqis seem to be fairly easily manipulate-able by news like this, so I wouldn't be surprised to see everyone start hoarding dinars now, and the street rate blast right through the program rate.

Amazing how things change in an instant, huh? 3 months ago, the news was all about how busted all the in-country dinar was and how there was all this counterfeit dinar coming in from Iran and Syria, and how everyone expected the street rate to further deteriorate. A month ago, the news was all about CBI desperately trying to rescue the street rate and how they had to sell over a billion dollars a week at auction just to keep the spread within 8%. Now, all of a sudden, dinars are cool again? Well, guess what? Nobody has any left, so whoever the lucky few are who stuffed some in their mattress are gonna make out like bandits now that the news is telling everyone they want dinars.

Great news...
a stable exchange rate in country facilitates the expected/anticipated lifting of the foreign exchange rate...

Tick Tock.
