The Strategic Framework Agreement - Section 2:

In this regard, the United States shall ensure maximum efforts to work with and through the democratically elected Goverment of Iraq.......
Support and strengthen Iraq’s democracy and its democratic institutions as defined and established in the Iraqi Constitution, and in so doing, enhance Iraq’s capability to protect these institutions against all internal and external threats......

this was signed by Maliki and as I mentioned in previous post, he may have very well been signing his death warrant. pay detailed attention to the words in this article because the players are strategically referring to the SFA in the words that they choose. Maliki can cause violations day after day and it means nothing.....unless he is found in breach of contract. and here my friends he is in a very bad situation because US intelligence has found evidence that may deem him in breach of contract as well as an internal threat to the agreed upon democratic process. the United States had already made it abundantly clear that the ONLY model government we will work through is a democratic one contractually, and now we see that Maliki may be found disingenuous in providing this governmental model.

from this point forward i think this man will begin to play ball like never before else his days as PM is numbered.
we will see...

TrinityExchange (No relation to our Trinity, allegedly):
Maliki is doing everything he can to sure up the US-Iraq relationship through the SFA since the hawks slapped evidence on his desk of his dealings with Iran in support of their military campaign to Syria. Maliki has been introduced to the levels of technology in US intelligence. He is playing a dangerous game. No harm no foul though. As long as he rights the ship and gets back to the democracy of Iraq. I think he is shaking in his boots right now and cannot say enough "thank you's" and "yes sir boss' " right now. he is certainly in jeopardy of losing his position if he is determined to be an internal threat to the democracy of Iraq.

fnbplanet:
Of course this is good news! The U.S. and the UNSC are involved. Coincidentally, the two most important factions for a Chapter 7 release, and both influential with the IMF. If Iraq is ever going to crawl out of the stone age, they need the these two entities to approve it. Peeing in their Wheaties like this is NOT going to get that done, and they WILL hang the Chapter 7 approval over their heads until they get their way. Iran CANNOT provide Iraq international standing. If Iraq DOESN'T get worldwide acceptance, the knuckleheads in their government right now might as well not even run for office in the upcoming elections, because they will have "lost face" with the people, and their opponents will rip them to shreds. The government would revert to Sunni control, and they won't let that happen.

They HAVE to behave themselves, and they have to do it NOW. NOW is a LOT sooner than "soon". I believe things should move along rather quickly now.

In the old thread, there were quotes from Bush in regards he investment in Iraq, our should I say war. He basically said that there would be a good return on the investment and it would end up not costing the US, in fact a profit was in the making. So based on that I would say its all about the money and the US is not about to let them off the hook. sk

Wow! That's nuts. So, you think he's just full of crap? I haven't followed him that closely.

Either way, with the senators going over there to kick Maliki's ass back in line, the news of Talibani's health improving, the pending appointment of Obeidi as Defense Minister, the Kurds giving another extension before they shut off the oil, the banking conference later this month, and pretty much everyone saying Talibani's return will result in a long-awaited political detente, I think we're in the best shape we've been, maybe ever, for it to happen in the next few weeks.

Take that with a big grain of salt, though. I thought it was going to happen right before Talibani left the country for 2 and a half months, too.

Re: Iraq an economic Study
they allllllllllll are full of shit, Medic, Adam Montana, Oily, okie, dokie, and there was another infamous lyer there, cant remember his name..

Im waiting for, " the Blue vans are sitting next o the banks", or " people are parading", or, They are setting up large screen TV's thru-out the city"

if this was even close, Ebay would have a huge selloff of the Dinar that is available.. Simply because the holders would make much more cashing in, then selling.. Makes sense?

I still dont think it will happen, and if it does, it might revalue to Maybeee.01 per dinar, at a float rate for a month, and maybe even just an In country RV.. THEN, a distribution of NEW currency..

There are no " insiders" giving info out.. That would be up there with insider trading..

O, let me guess, the guy at he bank in bagdadd told them its close?

LOL, dont hold your hand on your ass, I will tell you that much..

Re: Iraq an economic Study
Love me some Iraq conspiracy. This is why we're all here, anyway, right? This dinar thing is the conspiracy theorist's dream investment. Notice the guy quoted in the article. Does the name Tony Hayward ring a bell? It should. He was the CEO of BP during the GoM oil spill disaster.

From wikipedia: On 8 September 2011, Hayward's venture firm, Vallares, merged with the Turkish oil firm Genel Energy to create a $4.5 billion company with operations in northern Iraq.[53]

TrinityExchange:
So it seems quite the timing of Rothschild, through is subordinate Hayward, to chime in now that the delegation from the United States has paid their visit to Al-Maliki and let him know that he has been caught and, if he wants to keep his head, he will play ball NOW. looks like my friend Adam Montana is right on the money, the hcl is about to get to passed.

[kcw] simon8957 - An article titled "Parliament yielded to the demands of the Kurds and the Commission on article 140" I felt this was a great article your thoughts on this article and does this mean the HCL is one step closer???

[Adam Montana] simon, GREAT observation - that and a few other articles have been signaling to us that the HCL is nearing completion and has been nearing completion for some time now.
[Adam Montana] In a word - "YES".

and as we know, Rothschild doesn't do much predicting or speculating.

i believe we are about to find out really soon how much our investment is worth my friends.

Baghdad-Erbil oil dispute will get solved, says Hayward

08/09/2012 14:43

ERBIL, September 8 (AKnews) – The Kurdistan Region's oil plan is to produce one million barrels of oil per day over the next couple of years and this size of production will end the political dispute between Iraq and the region, said Genel chief executive Tony Hayward.

Hayward said: "The scale of the opportunity for Kurdistan and for Iraq is so large that there will be a resolution.

"We’d like to be exporting and believe strongly that over the next year or so, if not well before, that resolution will be arrived at."

Kurdish oil field Taq Taq is producing 105,000 barrels of oil per day (bpd). Tawke is running at 70,000 bpd, but should be up to 100,000 bpd by the end of the year, said Hayward.

Erbil and Ankara agreed to build an export pipeline, which could be operational next year, to transport one million barrels of oil per day to Turkey. The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) started trucking exports of crude oil to Turkey at the beginning of July despite a long-running dispute between Baghdad and Erbil.

Earlier the KRG set the end of August as a deadline for making payment, said a KRG statement.

The region restarted oil exports temporarily for a month during August after halting exports in April over a payment dispute. Then later the KRG decided to extend its oil exports to September 15 to give more time for discussion with Baghdad, said the region’s minister of natural resources.

Ashti Hawrami said: "We are in ongoing discussion with the Iraqi government about paying the foreign companies’ money so the region can continue exporting oil and increase the volume of exports.”

Baghdad has not paid Genel and a number of small companies yet for the majority of oil exported in 2009 and 2011, reported Reuters.

The region wants to end the payment dispute with Baghdad. According to the KRG, Baghdad has to pay $1.5bn to companies making investments in the region.

During the last few months, ExxonMobil, Chevron and Total signed contracts with the region to invest in the oil sector and neglected Baghdad's threats and warnings, reported the Financial Times.

Exxon Mobil signed six oil contracts last year with Kurdistan. The contracts led to strong opposition from Baghdad, which says Kurdistan is not authorized to sign contracts for its oil. The Iraqi government later threatened to blacklist oil giants if they continue their contracts with the KRG.
