Activating the strategic framework agreement between Baghdad and Washington

Four goals for visiting American officials to the country

BAGHDAD - morning

Baghdad and Washington agreed on activating the strategic framework agreement between the two countries.

The agreement comes with the intensification of U.S. officials visits to the country and politicians said it aims to discuss four axes and files. Has received Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki in his official office yesterday evening a delegation of members of the U.S. Congress included Senator John McCain and Senator Joseph Lieberman and Senator Lindsey Graham. Maliki said, according to a statement received "morning," a copy of it, the seriousness of the current situation in the region, saying: that the nature of relations between Iraq and the United States require more coordination and consultation.

Prime Minister pointed out that "our efforts instead to focus on the development process and the development of the country only we think in addition to that, how to spare Iraq risks, noting that Iraq pursued a policy of non-interference the affairs of others and extending the hand of friendship and open relations with countries that respect our sovereignty and does not interfere in our internal affairs.

Maliki is doing everything he can to sure up the US-Iraq relationship through the SFA since the hawks slapped evidence on his desk of his dealings with Iran in support of their military campaign to Syria. Maliki has been introduced to the levels of technology in US intelligence. He is playing a dangerous game. No harm no foul though. As long as he rights the ship and gets back to the democracy of Iraq. I think he is shaking in his boots right now and cannot say enough "thank you's" and "yes sir boss' " right now. he is certainly in jeopardy of losing his position if he is determined to be an internal threat to the democracy of Iraq.

Of course this is good news! The U.S. and the UNSC are involved. Coincidentally, the two most important factions for a Chapter 7 release, and both influential with the IMF. If Iraq is ever going to crawl out of the stone age, they need the these two entities to approve it. Peeing in their Wheaties like this is NOT going to get that done, and they WILL hang the Chapter 7 approval over their heads until they get their way. Iran CANNOT provide Iraq international standing. If Iraq DOESN'T get worldwide acceptance, the knuckleheads in their government right now might as well not even run for office in the upcoming elections, because they will have "lost face" with the people, and their opponents will rip them to shreds. The government would revert to Sunni control, and they won't let that happen.

They HAVE to behave themselves, and they have to do it NOW. NOW is a LOT sooner than "soon". I believe things should move along rather quickly now.
