Additionally, how humiliating would it be for the children who don't have much food in their pantries?

This also assumes that all children have cameras or access to one?

OP, I went to the blog. It doesn't state the school or where this happened. I want to research this more. Where in Tennessee did this take place?

Not calling BS because it could be true in another part of the state but in West TN my kids have no such assignment

Good catch, it looks like she updated it to say East Tennessee (Knoxville).

I think to be credible she had to list the school because truth is truth. Either they are requiring this of their students or they are not. I asked what school on the blog because you can't expect people to believe this otherwise (truly)...if anything, this is a story for major news networks if true. She shouldn't be shy about it...nor should she be worried about privacy.

About ten years ago, schools were asking student to draw a map of their homes and show where guns to stored (in case of an emergency).

Considering proof is on the blog showing the assignment I think asking to say what school is getting too personal.

I don't think people should put too much information about their kids on the internet. I know I would not allow my kids to put what school they go to.

Yes, you never know with crazies out there, heck I worry about it all the time myself. It would be interesting to see if anyone else will chime in to say they also are having it happen, because it seems to correlate to the other thread of them randomly asking people in TN if they are prepared for an emergency. I don't have a freezer, I don't have a pantry, I don't have a camera...I'd have to borrow one from the teacher and take a picture of the Campbell's tomato soup can that I buy to eat for the day.
