Yes, it is power that corrupts, think about communism and how the corruption comes into being. Corruption is not inherently an evil, it exists because there is a different agenda in the one who holds the power, that does not equate to evil or perversion. It equates to a postion of power being exucuted in a way that is beneficial to the one in power.
Step back away from your emotional words and examine these systems from a studied perspective. Loaded words and rhetoric like evil, perverted, dengenerate, have no place in viewing the world we live in without judgement.
