BREAKING: Grocery stores are more dangerous/thought provoking than you think!
I was in the grocery store a few days ago, and I was in the dairy aisle, looking for some yogurt, and I was surveying my options, engrossed in the wide world of yogurt....then I felt something squishy and slippery at my feet.

Someone had dropped a container of sour cream, and it popped open and spilled all over the linoleum floor. I cursed this predicament, I had sour cream all over the bottom of my shoe! Okay, so now what? Meanwhile, a pregnant lady was behind me, cause she wanted some yogurt too! Well, I made my selection (which oddly enough, was not yogurt, I went for the cottage cheese) and hobbled on with a squishy sour cream foot. I was headed to the check out, so I promptly alerted the cashier of the spilled sour cream and she dispatched a bagger to handle the situation. Okay, so the whole incident was funny, I laughed at what happened, etc.

So, I hope that ya'll are still with me here: I am getting to the thought provoking part here:

Then on the way home I got to thinking, why didn't the sour cream spiller do anything about his accident...he could have told someone, ya know! Maybe he/she thought big deal...but look at what could have happened....what if some elderly man or woman fell on the sour cream, breaking a hip. Or what if the pregnant lady slipped and fell, hurting herself or her baby? We're talking about life changing events here (potentially). Did the sour cream spiller think of that? The consequences? Nope, probably not, and chose to ignore their actions, and not tell anyone so they could mitigate this hazard. Really was it that big of a deal for them to say-Hey I spilled some sour cream over there..sorry!

When you are in a grocery store how often do you look down at the floor to make sure it is safe? You are most assuredly dazzled by the endless choices being displayed in their colorful glory. Maybe lost in thoughts that were spurred by the little pictures of cows on the yogurt looking all happy and shit. Perhaps you were thinking of what those artificial flavors, colors and tetrasodium pyrophospates are going to do to your body if you choose to consume them....and wondering why the produce section is like a ghost town.... or maybe you're just hoping that your credit card will go through and you can get some food for your family this week. Or shit, I spilled some sour cream over there, I hope nobody finds out that I did it, and thinks I'm an idiot.

Well: if you are still reading- what does this say about people, our society, our world. We can't even take responsibility for little things that happen in our lives, what about the big shit? We can't look into the future and ponder the consequences of our actions?

I just wanted to pass on this story-as a reminder to watch your back in the grocery store, and maybe just in general, cause this story tells me that there are alot of people out there that just don't give a shit.

Maybe you already knew that.

The world is an uncertain place, that's why you have to watch where you are going.

Maybe it wasn't broken until you stepped on it...would that change your perspective? What if somebody else dropped it, you broke it and in the time between you breaking it and checking out a short-bus full of hungry orphans pulled in and they all broke their hips racing to the lunchables (just on the other side of the yogurt)...how bad would you have felt then? All because you didn't speak up sooner.

Or maybe the guy did tell the staff and they were too lazy to get to it right yet.

Lots of variables.

what I noticed in places like the grocery store that people today are always on there phone texting or talking . It's like a refuge from your car or something and the minute they have shelter they get on that damn phone. It's really annoying when you're trying to check out and some dipshit is too busy on the phone and the cashier is waiting for dipshit to pay.

So my theory is some dipshit spilled the sourcream but was too busy talking on the cell phone to alert anybody

My theory is that somebody dropped it and thought they might have to pay for it. Then, since they couldn't use it, they got the hell away from it ASAP so as not to pay the lousy buck and a half. Somebody might fall on it? Even more reason to get away and keep quiet about it. They might get blamed and have to take responsibility for fucking up and hurting somebody else and we can't have that can we? NOOOOOO.

You're just lucky they didn't run you down in the parking lot trying to get away from there.

Now if you want to talk about people seeing themselves in the 'grand scheme of things' you'd better start another thread.

it might have just fallen all by itself, due to being placed precariously, or there was an imperceptible tremor caused by nibiru earth changes, or perhaps haarp weapons caused the sour cream to fall, just as a test, just because tptb can. you know, they can just cause one poddle of sour cream to fall in one town in in one state of one country, so why wouldn't they? also, do not discount the possibility that an interdimensional being may have caused the sour cream to fall to alert someone, perhaps you, of some impending doom, or impending enlightenment. or masonic gangstalkers just wanted to ruin your shoes. youre right about the thought-provoking part though. welp it's time for my anti-psychotics. good day.

I propose an addendum to the following quote:

“Death is a twirl; death is a shiny cloud over the horizon; death is me talking to you; death is you and your writing pad; death is nothing. Nothing! It is here, yet it isn’t here at all.”

should be changed to:

“Death is a twirl; death is a shiny cloud over the horizon; death is me talking to you; death is you and your writing pad; death is spilled Sour Cream. SOUR CREAM! It is here, yet it isn’t here at all.”
The engravings translate to "This space intentionally left blank."

The prayer is inscribed in an ancient script, rarely used today. It seems to be a philippic against small insects, absent-mindedness, and the picking up and dropping of small objects.

The gate is open; through it you can see a desolation, with a pile of mangled bodies in one corner. Thousands of voices, lamenting some hideous fate, can be heard.
The way through the gate is barred by evil spirits, who jeer at your attempts to pass.
