Perhaps this is where the lost trillions went? 800 camps? The upkeep on these has to be astronomical. What do they expect to do with them all? A more likely scenario, in my opinion, would be as internment camps for Asians/Middle Eastern Muslims if a world war broke out with China or the Middle Eastern situation got really out of hand.

Great question, since it's clearly unconstitutional, but that didn't stop the govt from putting Japanese-Americans in internment camps during WWII! I learned that in college, as I remember, maybe late high school. That's one of the main bits of info that woke me up.

But, with all the emergency executive orders and continuity of govt stuff since Reagan's reign, I'm sure the active atty general could come up with some justification.

i live a couple blocks from amtrak (supposed fema camp site) i drive by it every day, i havent seen anything strange as far as national guard troops or the like. although the way its situated, its almost impossible to see in while driving by, you would need a taller vehicle like a semi or big 4x4 to get a good look. i have a friend who works there, hes been refurbishing rail cars. there are some strange facts, though. 1 is obama brought it back, it was closed down for the longest but he gave grants to get it up and running again. the jobs are cool but its not like were a small town in the middle of nowhere and thats the only employer, were located inside indianapolis city limits. yes the barbed wire faces in.. the town police station butts up to the property along with some oddly placed apartment complexes. there is a set of tracks that run to a smaller business just to the n/w of amtrak that also has inward facing barbed wire and the tracks to it have recently been repaired.

i guess if it is a fema camp, i wont have far to travel.

Please tell us which way the concertina / razor / barbed wire faces around the compound. Out or in?

Edit: Also, a few weeks ago I was at Auchwitz, Poland. The camp there is not as big as you might have thought it would have to be. The barbed wire faces in...

Barbed wire faces in they took all the windows out of the buildings and put in stainless steel turnstiles at entry's. Weird facility 100s still employed there. Phil Snider said Bedford Indiana in Lawrence Co has a underground FEMA facility and Grissom AFB.
