Wow, this is a trip, I was just noticing whenever I am in the kitchen, especially, there is this ringing all the time now. My son is always asking me about such noises he is hearing, too. This didn't used to happen. I know younger ones can hear the frequencies better than us (mid 40's). I wonder if the good old lead hat will help? Not that we have one, they don't exactly sell those at Walmart - although I bet they'd sell well! I am assuming that even noise canceling headphones cannot stop it? It goes right through the skull? I'll bet that it is much weaker away from metro areas, out in the non-urban patches. Something else strange I noticed relating to this type of thing, very shocking, actually, happened earlier, in the summer time. I live in the city, so obviously am surrounded by all manner of WIFI, cellular, electrical, TV waves, air waves, etc etc. I had heard other people commenting in the past about the difference in your stress level and physical and mental well being when getting away from the city areas, due to all of this "interference". Well, I had been doing a lot of outdoor photography, sky pics, etc. over the spring and summer, just for fun. I would get so frustrated because my hands would shake so much when I tried to hold the camera (bigger, a big heavy, more than a small digital camera). Even when I'd use the monopod I had, same problem, I'd sway and move and it would mess up some shots. It was like I had such poor balance and was so unsteady. Then, one night, my friend, who lives outside of the city in a more rural area with a lot of hills, trees, and at a higher elevation, had us come up to look at the telescope. The darkness was better away from city lights and such so the view was great. I took out my camera and was expecting the usual bob and sway and weave to happen, as I wanted to photograph the Pleaides and such. To my amazement, I was SOLID AS A ROCK. Not a bit of sway, shake, bob, nothing. It felt great to be functioning "normally" in that regard. But it also sickened me to have to go back down to the dizzying, ringing, headachy, fatigued city world down below. I've always been a country girl at heart. The only small help I have against this is my Q-link, but it seems like something stronger is going on that not even that little gimmick will counteract nowadays.
