I've tried making a similar point, but it seems to fall on the deaf ears.

Thing is - if they really wanted to "round us up," they'll do it regardless of NDAA/1867 being passed, etc.

Not that we should just be okay with letting this go through Congress and on to the White House and then into law.

It's just that TPTB will do what they want regardless of the law. They always have.

Are you telling people they should just give up and accept the recent pieces of anti-freedom legislation without a fight? I'm not being an ass, I'm just really curious if that's how you feel...

Give up what exactly?

This shit has been going on since before you were born, why are you freaking out now?

Because now you know about it?

Give me a break rookie.

It's me, the rookie...I forgot to sign in.

I'm not freaking out and I know that this stuff has been gradually building for a very long time. I honestly just wanted to know if that's how you felt because I feel very differently. Maybe it's naive, but I will always think that some things are worth fighting for, even if it's in very small ways like waking the people around you up to reality or preparing as best you can for your family's safety if things get really bad. Maybe things really are on an unchangeable trajectory, but it's not in my nature to go quietly and make it too easy for them.

Do you really think you're slowing them down at ALL?

You give power to what you fight. Ponder on that for a minute...let it stew for a while, and always remember that grasshopper, for it is a FACT.

We the sheeple have done nothing to help and support the tens of thousands of innocent Americans who've ended up on the no-fly list.

What makes you think this is going to be any different?
The fact is, we've all become so selfish and self absorbed. People don't really give a shit until it happens to them.

But then it's too late, because their will be nobody left to protest on your behalf.

Considering the country seems to be experiencing some kind of awakening, and have realized their basic civil rights have been threatened in general (if not their wallets).... wouldn't it be advantageous to BHO's campaign to veto this bill to redeem himself on some level ??? Just as his pretense in withdrawing troops from IRAQ the year of his potential re-election??? Is this simply another ploy ?

Discreetly hidden in the 682 pages of this Act (NDAA), you will discover under the title 'Detainee Matters' in §1031 and §1032, Congress has effectively given the Department of Defense the express power to take civilians into military custody and to indefinitely detain people they suspect of terrorism activities with absolutely no charges or trial whatsoever. People in the Arab world have risen up and toppled governments to rid themselves of this very sort of power Congress is handing to the military. This makes a mockery of all those who fought and died in Iraq and Afghanistan under the pretense we are restoring their freedom. Who will invade the USA to liberate us?

This has come at the PRECISE time we face civil unrest because of a collapse in the financial system. Instead of rolling up the sleeves and fixing this mess, we are setting the stage for Marshall Law.

The ONLY thing that has kept this country free for this long, is the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. If you remove the Constitution and Bill of Rights, this nation is NO better than 1941 Nazi Germany, and faces a remarkably similar result. Only this being a super high-tech nightmare version.

From reading the above link, it seems as though they have immunity from any bill they vote on, even knowing the full impact it will have on the American people. And good luck tracking down and finding solid evidence they were paid off to do so, most of the Federal judges are on their side and will dismiss any case brought against any member of Congress.

It is not only a felony.. but it could also be considered treasonous. People need to start calling their local Sheriff and demand that some one be arrested.

All it would take is for one Sheriff.. as a token final act before he retires to say WTF, walk in and yell "Every body down on the floor.!!"

Thing is.. if all you've done is post a few comments on forum, then they have no reason to pause & you have no reason to complain.
