Is it possible to detect an opening?

Yes. Many ways. Most simple is if you are close enough to simply see it. Imagine looking at a window from 10 feet away and what is in the window just keeps changing in a odd way (room color changes, people blinking in and out, etc). Now remove is "frame" and just leave the changing area in between and that is what it looks like. In addition, they can be detected electrically even as the shift in atomic state causes disruptions that can be measured and detected.

What about radio waves? Would it be possible for SETI to intercept communication from a parallel universe?
Do the beings with this ability communicate with each other or are they only aware of each other?

Your body is constantly creating new cells to replace the old ones.

If SETI picked them up coming from a planet that happened to have an active bridge and the origin was another PU then they would never know.
