Why hasn't Melancholia been released in the United States yet?
It was supposed to have been released in November, but it still hasn't been released here except for maybe a very limited engagement in New York and elsewhere.

This link shows where and when it was supposed to have been released:

Your rights as a citizen have just been taken away from you, and all you can think about is why you can't see a bad movie with a 'naked scene'?

This is precisely why you don't deserve to have any rights.

could be a number of reasons, but if you do see it, it's visually stunning, beautifully made, if you're symbol literate you would have a ball it's packed with symbolism, many layered. wagner's tristan and Isolde prelude is magnificent and hypnotic - even if it's supposed to scare the living daylights out of us, i was impressed somewhat. go and see a nice slappy happy film afterwards to lift your spirits again, but not the mushy new year film that's on right now, makes you sea sick in parts.

What about the right to see a bad movie with a naked scene?

Re: Why hasn't Melancholia been released in the United States yet?
Glad to hear it's playing in some cities in the U.S. We have a Fine Arts Theater in Asheville, N.C., but it hasn't played here yet. Maybe it will be here soon.

I've been curious to see how it deals with Planet X, and I was hoping it would get more people interested in that subject as the Earth changes escalate.

It doesn't sound like it goes into much detail on the subject, but at least it makes reference to a planet that's been hiding behind the Sun. Perhaps that's why it's had such a limited and belated release in this country.
