Barry User ID: 1485181 United States 12/16/2011 06:11 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | For many years starting when I was 10 years old. I didn't know it then, but it was just the start. In college was when I experienced it the most. The great part about having an out-of-body experience is knowing that one's consciousness survives independently of the physical. Not to mention it throws a monkey wrench in the old ideas of how one enters heaven/nirvana/etc. The old thinking where the physical body actually rise up out of the ground and flies into the Master's eternal grasp is well, a reach if you ask me. I would love to become an expert on the subject, but it takes time. I share a bed with my partener and i think this is a block.I can induce an experience usually when i have iregular sleep paterns and the bed to myself. I cant choose wich experience ill have, its pot luck. When i astral travel, i have to be careful not to get too excited becuase i wake myself up, but its a new experience and one i would probably like to master. Out of body is weird, but ive not done it for about a year now.Ive found myself aimlesly floating in arb places around my house. and lucid dreams, well im a filthy character, i always play out sexual experiences if i can. |

Psychic Gal User ID: 1119244 United States 12/17/2011 12:49 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yes. My first out of body experience was spontaneous and unexpected at age 16. Taking a walk somewhere in Pasadena, CA, with a group of people, shocked over the trauma of losing both parents and couldn't believe the circumstances I was in. I had a moment of thinking, "Is this really my life now?" Then I briefly floated upwards out of my body and was able to look down on myself and the others walking along with me. I've also had lucid dreams since childhood. And I've since left my body many times, both purposefully and during dreamtime. Nowadays I study it through my metaphysics classes and meditation study. |

I have also suffered from sleep poralysis. I don't know about other people, but my experience with it was horrifying. I woke up scared to death, and could not move for about 20 to 30 seconds. As you said above, I heard that it's the door way to out-of-body experiences. I have also heard that it's caused by demons. It hasn't happened but maybe once or twice. If it does again, I'm going to pray "Jesus help me", and I have faith that the demons will flee. "Be strong and courageous. And the one time I was put under at the dentist office. Right before I passed out, I visualized me sitting in the chair with the doctor holding the nose/mouth thing over my face, and then it went black. -- Archaic Mason 2B1ASK1 "Meet on the level, part on the square." Anonymous Coward User ID: 1037270 United States 12/17/2011 02:48 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | On several occasions, sober occasions I might add, I've spontaneously hopped out when the meatsuit was in danger. Each time, I took rather hard hits, yet I didn't bruise and on normal occasions, I bruise easily. I suspect I could control it if I tried, but as is, it's apparently autopilot that works when it needs to work. I remember as a child I could do it at will by just staring off in an empty field and remembering none of this is real, then I'd feel a sense of the world being unfamiliar, alien and I'd leave my body behind a bit. I don't know how or why, but it does leave me with the impression that THAT part of me is the part that's important, not the meat robot. But who knows? Such experiences are too subjective and personal to measure scientifically, no way to validate it expect inside your own self. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 7295176 United States 12/18/2011 08:53 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yup.... true story and my life has never been the same: Things could not have been worse. There I was in the middle of the Pacific Ocean feeling like no one knew me or loved me. In a world of 5 billion people I felt all alone... and I was. I was at the end of my rope. I hadn't the strength to go on. Suicide was not an option. I firmly believed there was a way to be happy but what was it? Loneliness was ruining my days while nightmares were stealing my nights. My heart was sick; my brain fried. The guilt of so many stupid choices was making it difficult for me to hold my head up high. Like a directionless zombie I staggered through my empty days. After twenty-two years of a meaningless existence and agonizing pain I sobbed like a broken child. I wept like never ever before. I had heard of Jesus and believed he exists but did not know how to trust my life to him. I said, “Oh Lord, I promise I’ll be good, please take away this loneliness.” I collapsed onto the floor weeping, my face buried in my arm. My eyes were tightly shut but I could see Light. I saw myself through the eyes of Jesus Christ. I was looking down on myself through the eyes of Jesus and felt the compassion He has for me. He felt an overwhelming compassion for this young man lying helplessly on the floor. He descended to touch me. I struggled to get up, making it only to my knees. He surrounded me. His Holy Spirit began to penetrate my rib cage. I raised my arms and looked from side to side. I could not see anything but felt Jesus. The terrible, debilitating loneliness was washing away. I knew in an instant that Jesus loved me too!, that his power is real, and that heaven is a reality. I understood that this is the "Stuff" that raises people from death. God has forgiven me! Suddenly, my life had meaning! Great sorrow was being replaced by joy. I understood that this Holy Spirit is the One that brings eternal life. |

A great book on how to called "the 90 day guide to astral projection" by Robert Bruce is s great step by step guide to actually doing it on demand. The first experience I had prior to my knowledge on the subject as I was falling asleep I floated out of my body and it scared the "'$" out of me. Lol. Since then I have learned to induce them. Signs of exit prior to OBE are ringing of the ears, shaking, not physical but it feels like it and then blast off! Last Edited by 2342 on 01/20/2012 04:31 PM www.youtube.com/clandestinetimelord |
