Basically if everyone is bugging out, it means lots of people with very low levels (72 hour bug out bags) of supplies. That means a lot of desperate nomads. Very bad indeed. Either way prepping ends up saving you money as food has been seriously going up in price and food packages have been shrinking over the last year and a half. Buy only things that you might realistically need, but read up as much as possible on old pioneer skills that might come in handy, both to preserve your family, as well as a skill to barter.   GLP people who prep and know skills could actually become community leaders in their neighborhood, and help save a lot of people, if they have the foresight and ability to communicate pragmatic (and not kooky) ways to deal with any shortfall in supplies or severe loss of income if the economy tanks further. WHY DO YOU AMERICANS ALWAYS MAKE UP STORIES WHEN YOU REALLY KNOW LIKE EVERYONE ON GLP THAT FUCK ALL IS EVER GOING TO HAPPEN IT NEVER DOES WHEN YOU AMERICAN ARSEHOLES SAY THAT IT IS THATS BECAUSE YOU A NATION OF LIARS AND STORY TELLERS FUCKING RETARDS. In other words: canned soup would be yucky, because you willnot be able to heat it up, thus itwill be just one obnoxious lump, which may be ok after all since thereis the possibility that youwill have to eat it with your hands anyway . . . or too hungry to take the time to find the spoon by time you get the can open . . . with a rock . . . But that aside i thin it is always good to be prepared. I always have some food and other shit stored for the unexpected. And it has helped me out a few times. Several times now i have survived during times of financial woe thanks to my stores. So even if you do not believe the OP, you may not even believe in doom of any kind but i say if you have no stores or supplies get some anyway. You never now when you might lose your job or something or when a storm comes and blows the power and water out for a few days. These things do happen and are likely to happen to you at least once in your life time. One tip though - buy the kind of food you do not like. ie if you like tuna in brine get tuna in oil for your emergency box. Thjat way next time you are making a sandwich you will not be as tempted to dip into it. |
