There's a simple rule of thumb to check if we're close to a major war - has Pentagon already appointed communication officers to all the major news stations? CNN used to be the first place to check out back in the 1990's, but I'd go with Fox these days.

It really doesn't matter what major war we're talking about. Whether it's against Syria->Iran->Russia and China, or just some 'reshuffling of domestic population', it's all the same in the end. Economy crashes, external wars get started to draw attention from the guilty, the price of energy resources (in real terms, not the make-believe pieces of paper) suddenly jump through the roof, and before you know it, the whole known world leaps into abyss. It happened plenty of times in history, it can't be any different now.

I used to believe there were some smart people at the Pentagon, but... well, silly me... how can there be any smart people following orders from a known prostitute?

Let me repeat it one more time - there is a big difference between incompetence and sellout.

The prostitute had long ago sold himself to the highest bidder and there's not a thing you can do about it.

Plenty of words have been spoken and not a single one of them is going to change anything. I don't think there will be any man left standing by the time this is all over, so think of this as an exercise in futility. Winning and losing have no importance, and we might all just as well laugh about it.
