You're only missing the understanding that, while there is no one, all-encompassing "god", we are eternal. WE were self-created, not a god. We only change form, purposely. Everything we do and experience is because we've chosen to do so. You were already born in an advanced state -- don't regress by attaching to religion of any kind.
