Anonymous Coward User ID: 6678974 United States 12/18/2011 01:32 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | cats can control their tails very well. However, if it gets damaged or injured and has to be cut off, they will be just fine, unless, like sometimes happens with dogs, there is residual nerve damage. A cat purring in your lap waving it's tail is probably just being playful. A cat waving it's tail can also mean it's ticked off or irritated. If you ever see it with another cat playing pounce or having a fight, you'll find them waving their tails very carefully to express themselves. |

I grew up in the country with TONS of cats, and I've seen just about everything. My dear cat Caesar lived to 17 until she was hit in the road. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 7305573 Australia 12/18/2011 01:58 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | They have full control over their tails and a flippy one may mean you have a cat who loves the attention but will willingly remove your eyeball if you upset it What are the ears doing ? if they are pointing backwards, slowly get up and leave the room, remember to take the children with you |
