Scientists mystified how Comet Lovejoy survived 2 million degree K temperature pass through Sunís corona
December 19, 2011 Ė SPACE Ė A small comet survived what astronomers figured would be a sure death when it danced uncomfortably close to the broiling Sun. Comet Lovejoy, which was only discovered a couple of weeks ago, was supposed to melt Thursday night when it came close to where temperatures hit several million degrees. Astronomers had tracked 2,000 other sun-grazing comets make the same suicidal trip. None had ever survived. But astronomers watching live with NASA telescopes first saw the Sunís corona wiggle as Lovejoy went close to the Sun. They were then shocked when a bright spot emerged on the Sunís other side. Lovejoy lived. ďI was delighted when I saw it go into the Sun and I was astounded when I saw something re-emerge,Ē said U.S. Navy solar researcher Karl Battams. Lovejoy didnít exactly come out of its hellish adventure unscathed. Only 10 per cent of the comet ó which was probably millions of tons ó survived the encounter, said W. Dean Pesnell, project scientist for NASAís Solar Dynamics Observatory, which tracked Lovejoyís death-defying plunge. And the comet lost something pretty important: its tail. ďIt looks like the tail broke off and is stuckĒ in the Sunís magnetic field, Pesnell said. Comets circle the Sun and sometimes get too close.

it also had a spiral effect in its tail when it came thru phots on space weather

Those spirals have more of a meaning than we can decipher

"the tail broke off"how stupid do they think we are.if the tail broke off wouldnt a new one immediatly form due to 2m k degrees?how deoes it melt on the way in but not on the way out?..maybe what came out was the little object that towed it into the sun?

The Extinction Protocol does seem to have a serious problem with facts.
They can never keep them straight.

I wonder if it's confirmation bias, or just plain ol' lying.

Will most likely be destroyed != Sure death.

The survival of Lovejoy 3 was never considered an impossibility.

Actual scientists enjoy being surprised.
It means there is something new to try to figure out.

Because it wasn't a comet...it was a spaceship passing by our sun in order to charge its batteries. Nothing could survive passing THAT close to the sun...NOTHING!!!. You don't need to be a scientist to realize that. Our imaginations are tricked into thinking the impossible IS impossible. Fuck that shit!

What scientists saw come out on the other side of the sun was a modified trajectory of a ship that whipped around our sun, collecting energy, and continuing its journey to some far off system.

Sooo.... they just spotted it a few weeks ago... it survived a pass-by the sun.

So now where is it headed? Certainly the sun changed it's trajectory.

The tail... stuck in orbit around the sun... what impact will this have on sunspots?

Gulp...

What is a comet?
"a celestial body moving about the sun, usually in a highly eccentric orbit, consisting of a central mass surrounded by an envelope of dust and gas that may form a tail that streams away from the sun."

No comet could survive a pass THAT close to the sun.

Like the "scientists" said (released) - "Astronomers had tracked 2,000 other sun-grazing comets make the same suicidal trip. None had ever survived"

Is this a form of disclosure? Not sure.

"Only 10 per cent of the comet ó which was probably millions of tons" <----- If they only saw 10%...that doesn't exactly mean that most of it disintegrated...did they take modified trajectory into consideration? Probably not! They were probably busy freaking out that it actually survived such a close pass. Just like YU55 that passed near Earth...it changed trajectory.

You may be right...Look at the time-stamp on this video.
It looks like it went behind the Sun about 0005 UT on the16th.
And re-emerged about 0047 UT /16th or about 42 minutes.

"If one understands that socialism is not a share-the-wealth programme, but is in reality a method to consolidate and control the wealth, then the seeming paradox of super-rich men promoting socialism becomes no paradox at all. Instead, it becomes logical, even the perfect tool of power-seeking megalomaniacs.

Communism or more accurately, socialism, is not a movement of the downtrodden masses, but of the economic elite."

Um, nobody is questioning that a comet's tail is a stream of particles left trailing behind the comet, so how in the fuck can it BREAK OFF? It's not a solid THING that's connected to shit.

NASA is still clinging to that Ice ball theory, that's why they can't explain it.
I wonder how many of those NASA people have degrees and try to believe something as hot as the sun can't melt ice, LOLOLOLOL!

NASA makes me feel like we still live in the "World is flat" Era.
Get a grip NASA and while your at it study a bit on "The Electric Universe Theory, and the "Hollow Sun" theory.

speaking from the point of view of a grossly undereducated plebian, what I think is that the comet did not actually hit the sun, as there was no coronal mass ejection as the object entered into it.

Now, go back and review the timing, as what might have happened is that it went round the back of the sun and came out the other side unscathed...
