From article...
Southern California has a different earthquake problem at the San Andreas Fault, which is ripping the coastline along a horizontal plane, but in Utah the action is nearly vertical...

Here is dangerous places and earthquake pressure flow below USA, have three main dangerous "line"

One "line" you can see on images, other is San Andreas fault line, Third "line" is areas off West Coast of North America to Alaska ..

This collide in areas of N Ca, off Cost Oregon, British CO probably in ocean ..

In other picture you can see most dangerous area for biggest earthquake, that's how I see things ..
 Quoting: Rain-Man

I'm trying to interpret the maps. Does one of the lines run east and west through the central portion of the United States ..
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 893880

Yes, that's first "line" pressure from direction of Turkey or Japan similar north parallel, line is perfectly on this map with all that EQ's on that map for USA ..

But from Utah going up because Alaska draws pressure and straight, probably will crack in that time period in ocean off Coast Oregon - off Coast N CA or off cost British Columbia ..

This main lines collide or merge in areas off Cost Oregon, N Ca, Seattle WA, off coast British Columbia ..

Ocean crust is much shallower or thinner from continental crust so It's easier to break or crack also because tidal forces ..

Re: Very realistic dream -- earthquake Salt Lake City, Utah
According to a U.S. seismic hazards map developed by the USGS, Salt Lake City, UT is well within a defined seismic zone.

[link to nationalatlas.gov]

According to the Utah University Seismic Systems (UUSS) network, there has been a swarm of 16 small earthquakes in Utah.

[link to www.seis.utah.edu]

The epicenters of these earthquakes have been at Emery (primarily), Huntington, Price, and Mount Pleasant, UT.

The largest earthquake in the swarm measured 3.4 magnitude quake with an epicenter at Emery, UT and happened earlier today.

[link to www.seis.utah.edu]

Emery, UT is located about 100 miles due south (175 miles by road) of Salt Lake City, UT.

[link to geology.com]

A shallow (3 km, 1.9 miles depth) 3.0 magnitude earthquake centered 129 km (80 miles) south (191°) from Salt Lake City, UT was also recorded this past Sunday, March 25, 2012. The town of Leamington, UT is nearest (12 km, 8 miles northeast) to the epicenter of this earthquake.

[link to earthquake.usgs.gov]

The USGS database shows that there is a 51.005% chance of a major earthquake within 50 kilometers of Salt Lake City, Utah within the next 50 years.

[link to www.homefacts.com]

A 6.2 magnitude earthquake struck within 100 miles of Salt Lake City, Utah on March 28, 1975. At the time of the quake it was the heaviest earthquake in the continental United States to happen since the deadly Los Angeles area quake that occurred in 1971.

Had the 6.2 magnitude quake been centered in a populated area, say geologists, it could have caused great destruction and considerable loss of life.

[link to www.seis.utah.edu]

This link lists all of the earthquakes within 100 miles of Salt Lake City, UT since 1973.

[link to www.homefacts.com]

A 5.5 magnitude earthquake (intensity VII) also struck near Salt Lake City on May 22, 1910.

That would require a very significant change. Utah is at a fairly high elevation. I'm going to say that all of it is above 4,000 ft above sea level.

Either the ocean is coming way up, or Utah is going way down.

Fantastic data. I was surprised to see so many small EQs in Emmery County in the last week. I'm going to dig into this a little further.

Also, the 6.2 that shook Salt Lake City back in 1975 had it's epicenter in Malad Idaho. That's nearly 100 miles away. Because of the sediment of the ancient Lake Bonneville, EQs can be particularly dangerous and felt over large distances.

Re: Very realistic dream -- earthquake Salt Lake City, Utah
There was also a 6.6 magnitude earthquake on March 12, 1934 with intensity VIII that originated near Kosmo, on the north shore of the Great Salt Lake and affected an area of about 440,000 square kilometers, including much of northern Utah and parts of Idaho, Montana, Nevada, and Wyoming.

This tremor could have caused great damage in a densely populated area. Because of the sparse settlement in the region there was very little damage - mostly demolished chimneys and cracked walls in poorly constructed buildings. Two deaths, however, were attributed to the shock. The outstanding feature of the earthquake, related to the Hansel Valley fault, was the emission of large quantities of water from fissures and craterlets.

I Looked up the prayer and did not see anything. I am sorry but I know she said this to me...

The overflowing scourge or desolating sickness will cover the land but commence first with those who profess to know the Lord and make sacred
covenants and then profanes them.

Somewhere in this time frame will be pestilence, great hail, famine and earthquake. Invasion and some type of great plague in the oceans.

The overflowing scourge will abate where it first began ( in the mountains) and then after this purification, really cool technology and learning will
take hold, constitution will thrive. Great building of holy cities.

This sounds a lot like the four horsement from the Book of Revelation: Conquest, war, famine, death/plague.

Also those events described in Matthew 24.

Interesting times ahead.

where i live, in between 1300 and about 2000 east, it is a hill but then before heading up the road to the canyons, there is a dip. supposedly that is the wasatch fault. and that means, i live nearly right on top of it. aaaah!

Your dream is true. If the Leaders of the church do not repent of their Idolatry and unrighteous dominion, the Lord is sending his messenger with power to start the earthquake. Just so you know, that Idol that sits in the visitor's center is the express image and likeness of Lucifer himself. The Lord is angry with the leaders of the LDS church, and the idols they have built up are an abomination to him. Thank you for your dream.
 Quoting: joe haney 7451942

I agree. Years ago there was a big tornado in Salt Lake. The local weather people had said for years that it was not possible for a tornado to ever occur in the SL valley. That tornado ripped straight towards the Mormon temple and convention center. The LDS church worships the false prophets and masonic gods.

I'm the original OP on this thread. I'm not on my other computer -- I shot my mouth off a while ago, and well, you know... it won't happen again.

It looks like this might be coming to pass. We've now had a couple of earthquakes worth noting in Utah in the last month. The latest being a 4.3M.

Heads up. There may be a big one coming.
