That place of torment was not created for man. It was never intended for man. That place was created for the rebellious devil and his angels to be punished for eternity.
Our gracious Lord offers you eternal life with him in paradise, however if you should choose to take sides with the devil and reject God, he will respect your decision and you will share in the same fate.
If you do not want to be friends with God he will not force you to.
Just bear in mind that ALL good things come form God. When you are eternally seperated from God (which will be YOUR choice which you made whilst on this earth) you will be sent to a place where God is not. This means that there will be nothing there that is of God, nothing good at all.
The grace, extended mercy and good things that you enjoy whilst on this earth will not be in that place.

Where else would you go? Which dimension do you think to go to when Jesus returns he is creating a new heaven and a new earth.
God created the heavens and the earth. There is THIS physical world and the spirit world, which is temporarily hidden from those in this fallen dying world.
This earth/dimension is going to be 'destroyed with ferverent heat'. That means that this whole dimension which we currently live and exist in is going to be completely destroyed because it has become so corrupted with wickedness.
This will only leave the world which our Lord created left for the rest of eternity, and the place which he created to punish the devil and his angels, try to understand that there IS NO third option.
At the end of the age you will be in one of these two places.
God has invited you to his kingdom which he created for you, a place where there will be no more sadness or wickedness of any kind like there is in this world, but if you don't want to go there is only one other place left that you possibly can go to.
There is NO third option. You will either be in the kingdom of heaven, or in the lake of fire.
