My wife's a messy lazy slob. Suggestions?

LOL I do the paper plates and cups but she uses the regular dishes. I do my part to keep the joint clean for all the women commenting to help! I'm the only one that does anything. Seriously to the point I even said I may move out because it drives me nuts.

When did you quit treating her like she was the best thing that ever happened to you? When did you quit listening to her.
When did you quit asking for a beer the next time she got up instead of "Bitch! Gimme a beer!"

When did you let her fall off the pedestal you put her on before you got married? It ain't all her fault.

When was the last time you talked to her like a friend? Last time you turned on the vacuum cleaner? Did the dishes or started the laundry. Bought her a rose? Thanked her for being your wife and friend? All you have to do is make an effort. She would probably finish the chore because men can do anything right. It's the effort that says the most. If you don't make an effort, neither will she.

I've been married for almost 30 years. Still my best friend, still on the pedestal, still have a clean house...mostly. Clutter, 30 years of amassing stuff, from friends, dead relatives, neighbors moving, yardsales... only a dollar, honey!! Yeah... lots of clutter... but clean...and comfortable.

Seriously, quit taking her for granted. Make an attempt to fall in love again with the girl you married. Might take some work, might be difficult, but I can almost guarantee some success if you are sincere. You didn't call her "fat". That's means you have a good head start. Shave before bed, suck in the gut, stop fartin' & scratchin' & burpin' in front of her. Show some class and she will follow.

If she has nice hair and hasn't had a style lately, spring for it and make her an appointment at her favorite salon or take to the one she always wanted to go to but wouldn't because of the price... it's Xmas FFS! Make her think and feel she's pretty again. Don't necessarily lie about it, but consider it as detailing an older car. Make it look good then work on the running gear. As long as it don't smoke, smell funny or leave an oil slick where it sits, there's hope.

Why don't you help her with some of it and make it a team effort? She might see you as an understanding friend and do more for you. As the old saying goes, "You catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar."

And no she's not fat! She also has enough shit to open a frickin thrift store and no where to put it but the basement and who gets to haul all the shit down there ding ding me. I always look forward to a holiday because we have a clean house for a few days. I don't think it's serious enough to want a divorce, I really love her and would not let this end our marriage. I told her we are just opposite that way and would be nice if it could just "click" in her head yeah we are livin in a messy shit hole I should do more...

We have a small house and if we need a maid here I am moving out. One big problem is space because we don't have a lot of room. I like the dumpster idea, theres actually one in the back yard now haha. I don't see it ever changing so prob will just be quiet about it and act like I live alone and see if she notices. Or just have friends over every weekend then it will have to be clean...

I am in the same position, my live in girlfriend of ten years (same as a wife) is not very tidy at all. She is like a pack rat with all her nick knack bullshit and clothes piled up. I tell her to please do something about her shit and she gets mad. Finally I get pissed off and throw all her bullshit in the spare bedroom...that room looks like a room from that show hoarders. I'm really getting tired of this ,if you look around the house you hardly see any of my stuff laying around. It's really putting a strain on our relationship and I am embarrassed to have friends over. It really sucks,especially when I walk into friends homes and their houses are neat as a pin. One day I am going to get a dumpster and just get rid of all her unnecessary bullshit.
