Wal-Mart forces all its suppliers to cut corners to lower prices...that's just one of the reasons I don't shop there...

Yeah it's so sad. Why don't people breastfeed anymore.

I blame Walmart, Monsanto, Dow, GE, the list goes on... for EVERYTHING that's wrong with the country and the world.

what I saw when I went back there was that freaking Walmart destroyed whole towns in rural areas in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin.

They got popular by advertising that everything they sold was "Made in the US". Then got busted for the lie when they proved almost nothing they sold was made here.

This is not about breastfeeding. Formula needs to be safe. Remember you have babies that have been adopted or those in foster care. Some moms can't breastfeed and some moms die giving birth. There are a whole lot of scenarios where a baby can't be breastfed.

I tried to breastfeed but my baby wasn't interested! After two days of manually milking clostrum(sp) I gave up and begged for formula! I'm diabetic and was on pretty huge doses of insulin when I was pregnant! My babies blood sugar kept dipping and it was heart breaking watching him cry as his bm's were checked! He's fine now! Nearly a year old and happy and healthy! I used aptimal!

I love boobs. They are the most versatile, useful things that are on this earth. They are soft, warm, VERY pleasant to look at, and little babies are nourished by them.

If there was a 'boobie pillow' that felt as real as a natural boob, I'd buy it.

I'd like to know where Infamil gets ALL of the ingredients from.

I would NOT be surprised to learn that most of them come from CHINA. That's not a far fetched idea. Did you know that the fucking FLUORIDE that is put into our drinking water, is from China? Not saying all, but I've seen film of the packages inside a water treatment plant.

They have NO CLUE where the bacteria came from yet they link it to a story about removing baby formula from a store. If you cant see this is fear mongering then you are exactly who they targeted.

Right. Go to the lotion aisle. Find me a lotion with no mineral oil or petrolatum in it. You might find 2 products, in the ethinic/not-white haircare product section, in another aisle. I mention that because I consider mineral oil to be carcinogenic. The ones without petroleum products have some sort of benz-ene/oate/cancer related chemical in them.

Look at the clothes and find me something real. Real cotton, real wool, something not made from plastic, like polyester, vinyl, or something loaded with BPAs.

Find me the LED bulbs in that store.

Long time ago I read manufacturers have the 'walmart model" of a product which is cheaper than the models they give to other stores, to keep costs down.

They run their employees like a bunch of carnies. If you don't have a personality defect you can't work there.

I used to think WalMart was good because it was big. Now I realize, it's like K-Mart used to be, or one of those fallout economy stores, where you go where you don't have brains to shop smart, so you have to shop cheap, because of a consumption addicton. Then you get what you pay for.

It's for the shopping-and-eating career people. I quit that job.

At least you tried and made an effort to bf your baby and pump as well, extra kudos to you for doing that despite your health condition. A lot of mothers can't even bother to try to breastfeed, or think it's yucky.

My middle daughter was born with a complete cleft of the lip and palate, and no roof in her mouth. She could not even suck on a bottle, even though she tried. The formula has to be slowly squirted into her mouth.Even then, she choked a lot.
My other 2 kids were breast fed. Breast feeding is definately better, but there are times it is impossible.

That was my thinking...most contaminates come from China!!
Remember all the babies over their dying from bad formula or milk? Crazy! I trust very little packaged stuff these days. Perfect way to depopulate, just poison the food supply! Just sayin...

I checked the ingredients of this stuff and its filled with mostly GMO. Hello GMO people...wake up. Also Taurine is in the formula. I find that in energy drinks. WTF? Why put all these chemicals and unnatural ingredients in baby formula?

Snapper Mowers are no longer sold there because they refused to cut corners and make an inferior product...I have a 20 year old Snapper mower that I bought new, and all I've ever done to it was change the oil, air filter and sharpen the blade...I only buy quality, so I don't buy from Wal-Mart.

I absolutly agree. Stupid women are so selfish they deny their children the things that they truly need.

It very well may have been the water, or not sterilizing the bottles correctly. Shoot, I used to post a lot on a Mom board, and lots of women use water straight from the tap to mix formula.

Too many women are too busy working and trying to maintain an "image" and the children suffer.

A womans obligation when she gives birth is only for the child's welfare, including being the nurturer and raising that child.

If you want to work don't have children.

Most of the problems in the society today is because the mother is too busy working etc to raise her child, hence babysitters, day care, etc.

Some women can't breastfeed. Some women make crappy milk, and their babies are practically starving until they give them formula. You don't know what people's situations are. Saying that a woman is selfish for formula feeding is just asinine.

It's stories like this that made my choice to breastfeed very easy!

MOST women's milk is just fine. A very small percentage whose milk is not enough can supplement with other things.

What did women do those thousands of years before the advent of the baby formula.

Wake up and smell the Similac. There are other ways to feed the child.
