" - is the referring to night life before electricity "we repent for the ways we polute the beauty of the night. the ways we extinguish the light of companionship. the ways we fail to share your warmth."- referring to how we "abuse" the night in todays world "enlighten our darkness. be the dayspring for those suffering from addiction and illness. be the bright morning star for those who are greiving. be the sun of justice for those living under oppression and in poverty. be the cleansing fire for those who survive violence and warfare." - Basically bring back the old ways and also suffering as punishment. just think about the wording. |

Those who walk in the darkness use it to deceive. The being Lucifer is an allegory for a person who brings light to the darkness (look up the latin meaning). So, those that use it to deceive may be exposed for who they really are. There has been many Lucifers throughout history, and there will be more. Lucifer's will always be shunned, because they speak the truth in a world full of darkness, and they will usually be vindicated by history itself long after their demise. The typical, brainwashed Christian has difficulty contemplating this concept.Even Jesus was a Lucifer. Many Christians also do not know that Vespers/ A Roman Catholic prayer is done as the morning star(Venus aka Hesereous aka Lucifer)appears.
