The thing is, anyone who was pulling for RP knew this would happen. His campaign was gaining momentum. The liberals couldn't have it and scream racism (never mind that Obama's book is filled with racist comments). The GOP in power can't have RP infiltrating their hallowed halls and will run this to the grave (while their men aren't clean of misdeeds, that's for sure). And the media outlets, who are controlled by one side or the other were first told to ignore Paul and now to crucify (while continuing to ignore the comments/misdeeds of their own guys). That's politics for you. Nobody good or clean will ever make it to the Presidency because if there's nothing to find, something will be invented.
