Wierd things you have seen in the woods.

Apparently they are called Harvestmen and they do that motion to scare off predators.

a friend of the family was out in the woods [NS] close by here exploring with his camera. He said he came across what looked like a large strange shaped stone [as if carved] pointing up from the moss. He went close to it and started to record it, and then he went to touch the stone when he blacked out, and woke later some distance from the stone. He gathered up his camera and went home. He watched the video and it goes all messed up with dark shadows on it after he touches it and since that day he has not been the same and have not heard anymore about him, but old local history from the natives warned people to stay away from the the stone.

A friend and I were out in an undeveloped suburb last year, one that we always used to go to to smoke, drink, have bonfires, camp out, whatever. It's basically a big old midwestern meadow with shrubs and grass and bushes and such, with a dirt road running through it where they were planning on paving. Anyway, we used to spend a ton of time out here at all hours of the day and night, and never really noticed anything weird. One night, just he and I were out there, walking the dirt road away from where we parked his jeep. All of a sudden in complete unison we both stop in our tracks, staring at the same spot right in the middle of the dirt road. We didn't say a word for a good 30 seconds, just stared and felt like we physically COULD NOT take another step forward. Finally he says, "do you fucking see that??" And I say yeah I see it what the fuck is it... To this day we have not come up with an explanation for what it might have been, and we have returned to the exact spot many times, including the next morning to examine it. It looked like nothing...literally just nothing was sitting there. Like a complete emptiness or dark patch in the middle of the road. It looked like a cube, no bigger than a pack of cigarettes, it didn't move, make any sounds or lights or anything. Yet we truly felt physically incapable of moving any closer toward it. We finally turned around and sprinted to the car out of complete terror. Our hairs stood up and our heart rates increased just LOOKING at the damn thing, and we have no idea what it could have been.

That's really fucking creepy..

We found some aliens that landed out in the forest while out hiking one evening. They weren't prepared or expecting us. We took them hostage the following morning after having observed them all night. We forced them to teach us their language and how to operate their craft. That took a couple years. We also discovered they have some pretty serious weaponry aboard, enough to decimate humanity. That's when I decided to do a deal with these aliens and take over the planet with them. With my inside knowledge and their superior weaponry, you Earthlings don't stand a snowballs chance in hell. ;) Soon I will be your new emperor and overlord and dear leader all rolled into one.

There are places that people don't go for good reason. When you are searching out the most isolated of locations...make note...they might be isolate for good reason.

Just rewriting it made me relive it. I was not right for at least 3 months. I believe we may have been near ancient indian burial grounds. Other freaking worldly. I sympathize with the fella above who wrote about a black cube making him paralytic. It had the same effect. I think we may have opened up a portal or something, allowing them to visualize. Who knows, along time ago, totally different world I am living these days. Plus the rave scene isnt what it used to be. I guess that was our purpose to go tribal, dance, and really twist out some weird juju.

OMG they are called shadow people google it, you don't need to be on LSD to see them. LSD maybe altered your visuals to see them more clearly. And to feel them more just like feeling the music on LSD that intense rush.

A curious story so I looked around the net and found:

Legend has it that panic struck the area around Bald Mountain in the Hickory Nut Gorge in mid February, 1874. Residents reported feeling the ground shake and hearing booming noises which they described as loud thunder or the sound of heavy artillery in the distance. Some claimed they saw smoke and mist coming from Bald Mountain. Many feared that a volcano was about to explode. Some were so panicked that they abandoned their farms, livestock, and fields and joined religious revivals. A lot of people thought the end of time was upon them.

in southeast louisiana, if you go out in the woods at night and look closely, you can find these little worms (they look like small grub worms) which actually glow in the dark.

MAN! that would have been an experience!

I was once walking in the woods with 3 friends and we saw a transparent white cow/goat appear about 10 meters in front of us and stare directly at us with big black eyes. we all shat it and ran, i asked them what they saw before saying anything and was the exact same description.
It was a known haunted location but we didn't expect to actually see anything!

Ottawa National Forest in Upper Peninsula of Michigan, absolutely beautiful place. Was there with 4 buddies to camp and fish. First night there after dark we start seeing these little lights flashing around us. We thought they were lightning bugs at first, but they were bigger, about the size of a quarter, kind of blinking on and off real fast. More and more starting showing up all around us, and within a minute or so several hundred were there and we started freaking out. We would move towards them and in unison they would move back. We would step back and they would move forward. This went on for about a minute or so and then they all disappeared, or at least stopped blinking. All of them at once. We stayed up most of the night talking about that shit. We were there for 3 more nights and never saw them again. To this day we refer to this as the "martian story".

Maybe dinosaurs didn't go extinct "millions" of years ago. Maybe fossils came from a global flood. Maybe earth is 7000 years old, and dinosaurs haven't been gone for all that long.

once tripping and camping with friends, out of nowhere, i mean we were way way out in nowhere, a few people come from out of the darkness, also young looked like normal kids and all, but they kinda acted odd, as if we were where they wanted to be, even tho we were in the middle of nowhere and no particular spot, just made a fire in a flatter area of the woods. They then went back into the woods, at first we were a little weirded out by it, because we were surprised, but then we thought about it some and it made no sense, they didn't have anything with them - no camping stuff, beer, etc. , it was night and they had no lights we noticed, we were very hard to reach and in seriously nowhere, and it just simply made no sense, it was like 2AM already - they never really said anything clear, all i really remember was a mumbled kind of "oh there are people here" , and they turned around and left
