My hunter/safety instructor said if you spend enough time in the woods, you'll eventually see things you can't explain. One such story of his:

He had been deer hunting all day with no luck and started back to camp. After walking down a ridge, he descended into a grassy meadow with bushes on the opposite end. He hadn't gone far when he heard rustling in the bushes that seemed to be coming his way. Not knowing what kind of animal (or human) it might be, he decided to stop and wait.

The sounds got closer and closer until he could actually see the bushes move but still couldn't see anything. When the last bush was parted and pushed aside a shadow made its way along the grass and headed straight for him. He watched in disbelief as the shadow passed right under his feet and kept going. He claims he could feel it as it passed thru his body and could see and hear the sounds it made as it walked in the high grass.

True Story as he related it. Something else happened in the same area again the next season and he never hunted there again.
