His statement is both frightening and TELLING.

I think his FDR comments were in reference to the banking regulations that were established under his administration. Like FDR or hate him, those rules helped stabilize the markets. These people HAVE to have some rules. The Glass steagall act was established during this period.

That is exactly what made my hair stand up. He said it calmly and proudly. So, what that means is it is the only way those at the top see as the option to end any economic problems.
