These dreams need to stop!!!
I often have the most vivid and detailed dreams. You might think that was a cool thing, but they leave me drained in the morning. It's like I haven't slept, and I've actually been up all night, doing whatever it was I was dreaming about.
Honestly, it's exhausting.

That's because you aren't getting deep sleep...dreaming is light sleep and not really restful...could be from anxiety or simply too much caffeine...don't have caffeine in the afternoon...

Re: These dreams need to stop!!!
I'm not really anxious about anything, and I don't consume that much caffeine.
The dreams are so vivid, and they seem to go on all night long.
This has always happened to me. Sometimes it makes me wonder I I'm not living in some alternate reality when I go to sleep.

ANY caffeine - even one cup in the morning, is still in your system when you go to bed.

Any caffeine can stop deep sleep.

Try zero caffeine for 2 months, and see if that fixes it. You should notice a difference before then.

This was happening even when I was pregnant, and not drinking any caffeine for months. Actually when I was pregnant, the dreams were worse.

I am going through the same thing. At first I thought it was caffeine but it's not the case. I stopped drinking anything but water and still leaving me drained in the morning.

The vivid dreaming is getting more intense...

Are you on any medication? When I was in college and feeling a little depressed, a school doctor put me on anti-depressants. The dreams were insane. I actually had commercials between my dreams.

I rarely dream, which is good because I have Alice in Wonderland dreams. I was so happy to get off those meds and go back to normal.

No psych meds. Just a BC pill and Rx strength ibuprofen for my back.
But I wasn on any meds at all during both of my pregnancies, and the dreams were more intense than ever.

Yes! It's so disturbing to have to lay there and figure out that I didn't actually kill anybody.

Prior to going to bed:

1) drink some chamomille tea
2) eat a piece of turkey breast-meat
3) take a 2ml tab of melatonin (can be purchased at Walmart)
4) take a tab of 5HTP (hydrotryptophan; can be purchased at Walmart)
5) take a supplement with GABA in it (can be found here: [link to www.vitacost.com] )

You will sleep like a baby and wake up refreshed.

Your dreams will be less exciting and more calming but still fun, nonetheless.

Sounds like anxiety...you can suffer from it without realizing it. It's your brains way of trying to tell you something, something in your life that needs to be addressed or changed...it won't stop until you identify it.

There is one natural Medicine that nearly dismiss the whole REM-Phase
but in many Places it is still a illegal Drug!

Except in some Places in the US
but maybe you are better informed
about the process in the US!

Also Drobinol/ Marinol is also similar to the THC!

Re: These dreams need to stop!!!
"You are already experiencing the fourth dimension in that which you call dreams. Dream states are the first exposure of the frequencies of the fourth dimension to third dimensional consciousness. As the frequencies of the planet are already increasing very rapidly through to the cusp of late two thousand and twelve, your dream states are already on a rapidly expanding course to nearly full time real-seeming adventures. Eventually, you will be able to experience the frequencies of the fourth dimension while fully awake as overlays on top your normal wake state as you walk about. Already starting to happen to some of you. "

You just need to learn how to calm your mind...meditation can help, you basically have to allow the thoughts to come and go and only observe them, you don't have to entertain them...

There is harder Stuff to kill your Dreams
but they will come with a many Side-Effects!

You need to speak with real and educated People
about this Problem, maybe there is kind of a PTSD,
or something like a Trauma!
(RL)

What helped me a lot is a kick out of the cushion (out of the Bed),
because the Cushion hold me in the same Position
for nearly the whole night but we need to move at night!

Yep. I have lucid dreams almost every night. Now THAT can get extremely exhausting. So, I feel for ya.

Funny, I go to sleep, and I am still conscious! I wake up, and I am still conscious! Took me about a year to work through the mental exhaustion aspect of it.

Yes, a lot of my dreams are lucid, but it takes an extreme amount of effort to exert my will in my dreams. Like, I'm aware that I'm dreaming, but it takes a ridiculous amount of 'dream concentration' to make things happen.

I'm just exhausted, and I don't know how much more I can take! With two kids to chase after during my waking hours, I just want to sleep at night.

That's a GREAT point, Oubliette! Now, it is extremely easy for me to do ANYTHING in my lucid dream. I don't even have to struggle to stay lucid! That is probably why I find it less exhaustive now! Very, very good point.

It gets easier, but it does take some time. My suggestion is to 'let go' when in the dreams. Even to the point of telling yourself over and over during the day, to let go in your dream state.

Good luck. I completely feel for ya, and understand.

Are your dreams prophetic in nature?

Are you being given a message to share?

Write down what you dream about and see if you can figure out the message. Once you figure it out maybe it will not be as intense.
