Comet Lovejoy - The Comet may not survive Post-Perihelion
The Comet Lovejoy's Tail is growing but fading
dramtically.

Comet Elenin also Brightened Briefly then faded.

The sun's corona is 5700 Kelvin.

More than hot enough to melt platinum.

It is amazing that Comet Lovejoy survived this long.

That's the temperature of the Sun's surface. (The photosphere.)
The temperature of the corona is several million degrees.

It's also a near vacuum.

The main problem of course was insolation.

It is amazing that Comet Lovejoy survived this long.
 Quoting: gdwk 7272549

Amazing, but not miraculous.
It probably lost at least three quarters of its mass during perihelion.

Thank you for the clarification Halcyon Dayz on the
surface temperatures of the sun.

As of this time and date observers have been unable to
find a distinct nucleus on the comet after perihelion.

The comet has been putting on a spectacular show in the
Southern Hemisphere.

Hopefully it will be visible long enough for us to view
it in the Northern Hemisphere.

I adopted my sheep when I made my first posting on GLP.

His name is Otto.

Comet Lovejoy Fading quickly.

Tomorrow may be the last day to view the comet from
the Southern Hemisphere.

Viewers in the Northern Hemisphere may never see the
Comet.

Interesting comments from viewers.

The evidence is mounting that our Star is Electrical in Nature. Dr. Pierre-Marie Robitaille having found a flaw in Kirchhoff's Law ( Electric Universe Conference March 2014, New Mexico ) and having made the correction needed, has found that the Sun actually consists of Liquid Metallic Hydrogen which dovetails with The Thunderbolts Project assertion that the Sun is powered from outside sources and is a Cold Fusion Reactor.
