Are you sure? These sounds are too weird to be from tires going over grooved pavement. Listen to the two cars as they pass by. Notice the twangy sound? Grooved pavement my ass.

I've been over that road before. Yes, those sounds are caused by grooves cut into the pavement with different spaces to make different tones. But the sounds in my video are much different...they sound very twangy and futuristic.

They are not deep enough listen to the whole video.

They are coming from everywhere so you can hear that they are around you.

Watch the road in OPs vid, and watch when the noises begin and end. It's always either going over a bridge/overpass or a section of test pavement. Southern Illinois is full of miles and miles of test pavement. It has a different tone when a vehicle drives on it.

You are wrong. Grooved pavement does not sound like that. If it did, I would not be freaking out and asking people what's causing the sound. Listen to the two cars that go past. Do you hear the twangy mid-pitch rumbling sound? Test pavement my ass.

Those in the U.K should go outside and look at Jupiter. There's something really odd with the planet tonight, very bright almost like the star of Bethlehem. I've never seen it like that in my life. I live in the north-west of England, extreme wind at the moment gust 70 plus weather warnings in place. But I tried to take a picture of Jupiter but my camera will not work when I focus on the planet. There's something really wrong, it looks like it is getting closer or going super nova.

Different vehicles make different sounds. You know there are some vehicles on the road that aren't running that well and there engines don't sound normal. How much cocain did you snort today?

You probably shouldn't be driving if you think that sound is from an engine. The sound is caused by tires rolling over a section of rough, grooved pavement. Sometimes this makes a really weird sound, which I recorded.

What you recorded sounds like cars driving by. Engine noise. I driven old cars that sound a lot worse than that. If you've ever drove a car into the ground then you know what I'm talking about. But it's hard to know when your snorting cocain or meth or whatever is your pleasure and recording highway noise. That's cool though man but you really should stick with all-natural...

Again, you are wrong. The sound is not from engines. Concrete pavement is textured to provide traction. This usually includes cutting shallow striations into the pavement. These striations help to prevent a film of water from forming on the driving surface. When the tire tread rolls over these grooves, vibrations are produced, which you hear as sound. The spacing between the grooves and the pattern the grooves are arranged affect the frequency(ies) at which the tread impacts the grooves, thus affecting the sound produced.

I've seen people drive over grooved pavement, slam on their brakes, pull onto the shoulder, and check their engine. I can picture you doing the same. Do you not realize that tire-pavement interaction noise is the chief source of noise above 30 mph?

The sound is too strange to be normal. The sound seems twangy, which means the Moon is tumbling out of position.
