who else hates extreme couponers?

I don't hate them, but I question the value of their time.

I think its awesome.

I have a problem with dumbasses trying to save 12 cents on a can of corn but then paying full price for a new car or a computer.

But these people actually save money and gets stuff for next to nothing.

Very cool but I would be pissed to wait in line behind them at checkout.

the show i saw yesterday, the woman spent over 10 hours in the store, 4 of which were at the check out counter. she couldnt understand why her daughter didnt wanna be there.

she had like 12 carts heaped with stuff and she spent like $20 at the store. of course she drives a nice new jeep suv.

They are sick...like crazy cat ladies and crazy pigeon feeding lady...it's just another form of mental illness.

I always get stuck behind an extreme couponer at the grocery store, then writes a check for seven cents.

How does someone have THAT much time!

They abuse the system and pass the cost on to whomever buys the products they are basically stealing...

If your doing it to feed your family, or even to provide items for the local food bank, then I'm all for it.

But the people who buy 1,000 tubes of toothpaste ruin the system for the rest of us.

imagine if you trekked into town to get 2 cans of an on sale item only to find out that a fat cow just bought all 600 cans the store had.

thier days are numbered, stores will change thier coupon policies and we will all suffer for these greedy pigs behavior.

Awful show, but they are the ultimate survivalists!

Well I wish I had an extra 100 gallons of laundry detergent and 500 rolls of extra toilet paper. I give them credit. It looks like a lot of work and you need alot of storage.

It's the same as going to taco bell, buying one taco, and taking 10,000 packets of sauce and all the fuck'n napkins and plastic spoons.

they buy mostly junk food, they store it in garages which the temp changes daily and speeds up food spoilage.

i promise most have never thought of TSHTF and have no weapons to KEEP all this loot they have aquired.

Any show about the extremes to which people go to justify their irrational behavior just make it more acceptable for people to behave irrationally.

That's the interesting thing about couponers. They lie about the time spent. People question them with "is it really cheaper than generic brands?", and of course they always reply yes.

Next up is usually "Yeah, but isn't your time worth anything?", and they reply with I spent 10 minutes a week on Sunday that's it.

Liars. It's a disease really. Hoarding shit they never needed, but wanted because it was a coupon deal. Like someone else said, who needs 40 toothbrushes and 500 swiffer pads?

Ya know I heard an interesting thought the other day from some radio talk show guy...that TV shows follow the president, economy and general mood of the country...

For Obama the hot shows are:

Extreme coupons
Pawn shops shows
Storage wars where people lose their stored items and others bid on them.
Repo man tow away shows.
Shows of that nature...

Pretty interesting....there are a lot of shows that are more or less fueled by hardship that are hot now...

Most of those shows are pretty much retraining the public on how to be self sufficient and resourceful....but in an extreme way.

I live in Iowa & I use LOTS of coupons. The best I've ever done was $200 worth of groceries for just over $100. Store coupons, manufacturer coupons, double coupons & coupons for free stuff, it all adds up.

I don't dedicate nearly as much as I used to for finding the best deal but I do about 3 hours a week organizing my coupons & then matching them up to store deals.

We have to make our grocery dollar stretch to the max.

using coupons is great. taking every single item a store has just cuz you can is being a 33rd degree asshole
