Agree, do you ever get bored with how easy it is to make a good painting or sculpture? Just curious. I used to do this a few years back.

There's something to try (drawing)!

I'm more of a writer, and for me the visions are so rich that I never get bored trying to express them to others. I suppose it's the sheer joy or sharing it, though the limitations of the English language can be lackluster sometimes. I put a lot of thought into what I see and iron out the details before putting it up on screen. Each chapter I write, I tell myself it has to be better than the last and it keeps me motivated. I never get bored of it, but if I get mentally tired I leave for a while then come back. I suppose the love of a story can do that to you.

That's the real beef of it: there are so many ideas floating around, but if you don't love any of them then where's the satisfaction of sharing them? There have been many stories I've wanted to type out, they were amazing ideas, but I didn't feel much for them on an emotional level. I recycle them for other ideas in various places. Good question BTW.

Same process, when I paint, my hand just produces it, I can see the same thing from a writer.

I'd give the same advice to both, painters and writers. Try just a bit deeper.
