A lot of this saber rattling -- and the reporting thereof -- may well be oil market manipulation.

Somebody can make a fortune if they know what press releases are coming, and when.

Re: Hormuz bay crisis going on. U.S warns Iran.
Knowing the way Iran like to provoke the bloodthirsty USA and make them sweat, Iran will tort the US into a strike against Iran forces.... You can tell that Iran just want to piss America off more and love doing that....

Nothing would be better than legally putting USA in a criminal situation and make a strike against it's forces without legal right...... Watch this space....

The legal ramifications will have the whole US military system tied up in letigation for a year if not more....

no Doom here, just Iran knowing how to poke a stick........

Well i think there is really bad stitation now because there is going on Irans fleet exercise in international waters. Iran also refuse hotline earlier when U.S propose it. So there is danger if there is not communication those two fleet.

Also iran dropping mines in hormuz bay what is par of this exercise and that is not good thing if there happens some mistakes.

Good map thank you.

Some news from reuters again and this not sound good:

China urges peace in hormuz bay but in same time also criticized the United States and European Union for imposing their own separate sanctions on Iran, and said they should not take steps reaching beyond the U.N. resolutions.

It would be interesting to look which way this goes.

The Navy operates 29 surface warships and 4 submarines. The surface ships carry the designation Her Majesty's Canadian Ship (HMCS) : three Iroquois class guided-missile destroyers, twelve Halifax class multi-role patrol frigates, twelve Kingston class coastal defence vessels, and two Protecteur class replenishment vessels. In addition to the surface vessels, the RCN owns 4 currently inactive Victoria class submarines acquired from the Royal Navy in 1998. These warships carry the designation Her Majesty's Canadian Submarine. The Royal Canadian Navy also maintains and operates HMCS Oriole, a historic sail ship commissioned in 1921 that now serves as a sail training vessel. Although it carries the royal designation, it is not counted as an active warship of the Royal Canadian Navy.

Well i think there is really threat about this crisis because in year 1987 and 1988 there was sea mines in hormuz bay but iran never admit that those mines was their. So i think that if eu and u.s makes those commercial blocks against iran we will see sea mines in hormuz bay. And then... i dont know.

Heres the prize men..

Recoverable liquid hydrocarbon reserves in early 2005, 136.99 billion barrels (21.780 km3) 10% of world's total.
Recoverable gas reserves in early 2005 , 28.17×1012 m3 (15% of world's total).

Current NIOC production capacities include over 4 million barrels (640×103 m3) of crude oil and in excess of 500 million cubic meters of natural gas per day.[3] In 2008, the average extraction cost of oil was less than $5 per barrel. This does not include processing (refining) and distribution costs.[6]

Iran’s cumulative oil production has reached to 61 billion barrels (9.7×109 m3) by the end of 2007,[7] most of these volume produced after 1951, under the supervision of NIOC.

Iran's overall export crude oil was valued at US$85 billion in 2010.

What a dumb comment. Iran doesn't need to do anything extraordinary to stop oil tankers, just issue a verbal threat and naval insurance companies will halt their tankers. Easier than drinking water is speaking.
