Prayer Needed For Newborn Grandaughter !

Hello Tiger,

I came on to check how your granddaughter is doing and noticed you were inquiring about Trixie.

I keep in touch with her through emails and just received one this morning.

She said it's been a tough road but each day is getting better--physically and emotionally. She is much more mobile and was able to get out in the sunshine for a little while.

Panic attacks have become an issue, but even those have improved since our last email to each other.

I don't think she has a definite date yet for the next operation.

Her children are back at school so she will have more time and peace of mind to, perhaps, make another video. According to her, it might be about anxiety.

I will mention the concern and prayers from all of you, in my next email. She might pop in on GLP herself, too, as it is in her nature to thank everyone for the care and concern.

I hope you are doing better. Is the migraine gone?
I'll continue to keep all of you in my prayers.

I am glad that Trixie is hanging in there ! This has to be so rough for her.
My migraines are just about gone. I went to my Chiropractor yesterday, and will go back again tomorrow. All of my muscles and tendons in my neck and upper back are as tight as they can be, from stress.

Update !

Jaleah is still being tube fed. She did drink an ounce of formula from the bottle today, but she is still losing weight. She has lost almost 1/2 a pound, so far. Her sucking reflex has to come back slowly, I guess. Her breathing is not too bad, mostly still normal, and not spiking as bad as before.
My daughter, and my little grandson, who is Jaleah's older brother, age 2 1/2, have come down with the flu. They cannot go up to see Jaleah until everyone is well. Hospital policy for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, is that I cannot go there to see my grandaughter, unless I go with a parent. So, I can't go either, until everyone at their house is well. I was able to go up and be with Jaleah last saturday and sunday, in lieu of my daughter still being hospitalized, but once she was discharged, I can only go with one of them. I think this hospital policy is ridiculous, but there is nothing we can do, even though we have tried.

UPDATE !!! PRAISE GOD !!!

Jaleah drank a 4 ounce bottle today. They took her out of the incubator and put her in a regular nursery open bed. She still is in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, but she has greatly improved !

Every day, more improvement. A week ago, things didn't look too good. Now, a week later, the change is miraculous.

Newborns tend to lose a bit of weight in the first days after birth.

She's right. Most newborns do lose weight in the first few days. My daughter did as well. Don't worry, she'll gain it back soon. That's wonderful that she was able to drink an ounce of fomula. That may not sound like alot, but it's alot to to a tiny baby, and will help her to get stronger. Praise God for her improvement. I will keep praying for Jaelah, Elizabeth, Kacee, and you too. I know that God will take care of your family.

UPDATE !!!

I held my grandaughter Jaleah for the first time this afternoon !!! I felt like I was in Heaven, holding this precious child of my child !!! I was crying tears of joy !!! Jaleah has ebony hair and eyes, and skin as pink as pink can be !!! She has not been opening her eyes, except for little peeks, but she opened them up for grandma !!! :)
She did lose another ounce today, and her feeding tube is still in, but she is drinking breast milk from my daughter, and supplemental formula. She tires real easily drinking from the bottle, but improving bit by bit !!!
