IDF: Iran Realizing Assad is Finished

IDF Spokesperson Brigadier General Yoav (Poly) Mordechai said Friday that Syria's allies Iran and Hizbullah are coming to realize that Bashar Assad's regime has “reached its end."

“Another week is almost over, during which the desperate effort by Iran and Hizbullah to help the Assad regime survive was evident,” Brig. Gen. Mordechai wrote on his official Facebook page. “[Assad’s allies] are beginning to understand that the end is just a matter of time and therefore I wouldn’t be surprised if they are already planning for the day after.”

Brig. Gen. Mordechai emphasized that the IDF is prepared for any scenario.

I'd like to appologize on behalf of the Americans government for not already coming do the aid of our brothers and sisters in Israel. The situation unfolding now is a mess and could have been dealt with with small numbers of elite trained special forces. Now full blown military intervention is the only band-aid that can be used. Believe me, the American Government may not be with you right now, but the American people are by in large.

they don't see it…all we can do is let them know, not everything cause they would over load, but they need to be ready.

thanks, general. no breaking news at the moment but i'll post here if i hear anything. there are regular alerts that there may be a need to go into lebanon if things get out of hand in syria, with weapons transfers to hezbollah, and there are exercises for that underway in case it becomes necessary.

about the missile, it was big news to me that it was fired from a submarine near tartus. is there confirmation on that, other than the youtube vid? israel would shoot down anything unknown in its skies, so if it didn't shoot it down i'm assuming it was known about ahead of time. is it known for sure that it was fired in over israel's skies, or just that it was seen here? there has been no discussion of it whatsoever in our MSM.

any time tarf. I have been following this thread and putting my two cents in since it was Official 2011 as an AC.. figured it was time to take the leap and join.

Bottom line is we know who the enemies of freedom are as well as the champions of freedom. Anyone with a basic understanding/education in regards to International Relations/game theory understands that Israel and the United States interests run parallel. Thus, it is time we come from the shadows and show our support b/c unfortunately the sheeple of America voted in someone who does not feel that way. It is really amazing to me to see how in a matter of 3.5 years how one administration can turn upside down one of our best international allies. You may not be the largest nation in the world or boast the largest military and at times we may need you to avoid getting involved in conflict in an effort to keep coalitions together but never doubt for a second that WE STAND TOGETHER and understand that a Middle East without Israel is a Middle East without order.

Stay Safe, and know that the PTB within the Military brass still feel like I do in respect to our obligations to protect our friends.

Ultimately, like suspected, the reemergence of Putin has brought with it a new determined effort on behalf of Russia to 'puff out its chest'. Russia is flexing muscles that we haven't seen since the pre "glasnost & perestroika". It's ashame too, because America and Russia should have joined together in 'friendship"' in an effort to offset the growing China threat. Now, we should expect even more flexing as they understand what so many of us see, Obama is weak, thus the West looks weak -- and not on purpose like Sun Tzu would advise. Things are going to get bloody before they get resolved bottom line.
