Question if the rebels have the chems, what will the reaction from Israel be and why? How long would it take to put them on warheads?
Would the after years being stored still be effective?

And would the rebels turn them over to NATO forces?
Or use them on Syrian forces?

This isnt about a dictator with chem weap, its about israel taking out a powerful country, or you dont know that iran and syria hate israel?

It's not about a dictator with chem and bio weapons? Why is your hate for Israel so deep? Do you nderstand that with out oil the ME is a bunch of forth world counties still living in tents moving from sand pile to sand pile? I'm being harsh maybe without oil the ME would have been a lot better off. But they have oil and they have used the money to poison and misdirect the populations in order to stay in power. Israel is nothing to them but a tool, a hammer to beat their people with.

Unfortunately; with Russia allegedly exiting, Iran announcing it does have troops in Syria, the US and EU itching to get into Syria, there being news of chemical weapons loaded on missiles and some being seized, I must think that these items all rolled up in a gasoline soaked pile of dry wood with dynamite sticks oozing gel, coudl easily turn very hot in the next 72 hours, all it needs is that one spark.

the russians leaving tartus quietly and practically denying it is HUGE. putin had to give the order to leave. so it seems he has insider info on possible escalation. the russians have been part of the facade like israel all along, top brass always knew allies would strike, just had to get the hardware in place and prevent iran from lashing out unexpectedly. all the arguing between allies has been psy ops directed toward iran and those out of the loop in our own allied nations. this strike coming (soon?) will be something the world hasnt seen before, most likely will deter future iran type nations from wanting to go toe to toe with usa capabilities. tech we didnt know existed will be used, similar to the atomic bomb being used toward end of ww2. my 2 cents anyway...

any action that comes will either not be enough or will be more for face saving, the human disaster of this has done political damage that can't be reversed now. syrians will be pissed at the west for some time to come for not coming to their aid, they'll be angry with the russians for supporting assad, they will throw their support at al qaeda because as bad as they are they were at least on the ground assisting the rebels. Hell I could be wrong but that's how I see it now.

I'm sure from Israel's point of view the Fog of what is real and what is false is getting pretty thick. You're right MM, all it takes is a spark, whether it's true or not, all someone has to do is think spark and might be enough.

This week Israel's prime minister came very close to saying he intended to bomb Iran's nuclear infrastructure, but that’s not something he can decide alone. To order such an attack, Benjamin Netanyahu would need to persuade an informal “security cabinet” that represents the leaders of his political coalition.

The security cabinet is made up of eight senior government ministers including the prime minister. Its membership reflects the composition of the Knesset’s ruling majority, and Israeli leaders often use the body, now called the octet, to build consensus for the Jewish state’s most important decisions.


“A decision like this would rarely be brought to the full cabinet because it is a huge forum, and you can’t get 30 people to agree on anything,” says Chuck Freilich, a former deputy national-security adviser to two Israeli prime ministers. “Israel has a real problem with leaks. That is why the real strategic thinking is done in the octet and other, even smaller meetings.”


Israeli law requires that major national-security decisions, like signing peace accords or ordering airstrikes, must receive a majority vote in either the full cabinet or a smaller ministerial committee on national security—a panel comprising half the ministers of the full cabinet. (The current Israeli cabinet has 30 ministers, 15 of whom serve on the national-security committee.) But in practice, the decision of the octet is most vital.
