Clearly, Middle East is a complicated geopolitical chessboard, and we must be very sharp and alert to understand what’s really going on.
Keep one thing in mind, though: Americans invented and play poker, which is a game of deceit and lies. The Sassanid Persians from whom today’s Iranians descend invented chess in the 7th Century, which is a game of strategy and intelligence,

We’ve Got to Do the Job’: Former Netanyahu Chief of Staff Says Israeli Strike on Iran ‘Imminent’

The former chief of staff to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Saturday an Israeli strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities is “imminent.” Naftali Bennett appeared on Fox News’ “Huckabee” and painted a dire picture of a world with a nuclear Iran, saying Israel will not hesitate to take action if necessary — and that time is of the essence.

“We’re at the very last moment. This is going to be the first time in history that a maniacal, radical Islamic regime will acquire a nuclear weapon,” he said. “The day after they have a bomb will be a different day for the entire world.”

Hello Sammich.

Would You Support a War Against Iran If You Knew the True Facts?

The CIA admits that the U.S. overthrew the moderate, suit-and-tie-wearing, Democratically-elected prime minister of Iran in 1953. He was overthrown because he had nationalized Iran’s oil, which had previously been controlled by BP and other Western oil companies.
As part of that action, the CIA admits that it hired Iranians to pose as Communists and stage bombings in Iran in order to turn the country against its prime minister.

Well-known economist Nouriel Roubini says that attacking Iran would lead to global recession. The IMF says that Iran cutting off oil supplies could raise crude prices 30%. War with Iran would kill the American economy.

Rothschilds Want Iran’s Banks

Could gaining control of the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran (CBI) be one of the main reasons that Iran is being targeted by Western and Israeli powers?

As tensions are building up for an unthinkable war with Iran, it is worth exploring Iran’s banking system compared to its U.S., British and Israeli counterparts.

Some researchers are pointing out that Iran is one of only three countries left in the world whose central bank is not under Rothschild control.

He mentions the even more-advanced SS-NX-26 Yakhonts missiles, also Russian-made (speed: Mach 2.9; range: 180 miles) deployed by the Iranians along the Gulf’s northern shore.

“Every US ship will be exposed and vulnerable. When the Iranians spring the trap, the entire lake will become a killing field…

Pakistan Rejects US Sanctions Threat, Will Expand Energy Ties With Iran

Speaking in a news conference today, Pakistani Foreign Minister Hina Khar rejected US demands to end all energy ties with neighboring Iran, saying that the ties are in Pakistan’s national interest and will be expanded, particularly as it relates to the controversial gas pipeline.

The US has been pressuring Pakistan for years to abandon the deal, as US sanctions are aimed at limiting if not entirely cutting off Iranian energy production from the rest of the world. Khar insisted that the deal was too compelling for Pakistan to turn down. As for US threats of sanctions against Pakistan for participating in the pipeline, Khar insisted they would “cross that bridge when we come to it.”

Yesterday, Hillary Clinton threatened sanctions against Pakistan if it went through with the deal.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton Wednesday warned that Pakistan could face US sanctions if it pressed ahead with its proposed gas pipeline project with Iran.

Yesterday, NATO shelled Northern Waziristan, which borders on Pakistan.

At least six people, all of them civilian tribesmen, were reported “critically injured” today after NATO forces fired artillery shells against a village in Datta Khel, North Waziristan Agency. Four of the wounded were children. The attack sparked a panic among locals, as well as complaints that the Pakistani national government is unable to keep NATO from attacking the tribal areas. NATO has yet to comment on the strike.

This threat, combined with the bombing in Northern Waziristan on Pakistan's border, is a not so subtle warning that should the pipeline be constructed, the US will bomb it to smithereens.

I would like to hope that Pakistani civilian and military leadership understand, unequivocally, that the US is already at war with Pakistan.

Today, I was watching the Certified Nothing News Network,(CNNN) and they showed a clip of a heckler interrupting President Obama's speech. The heckler states, "What about the Iran War?" Obama replys, "There is no war with Iran. You're jumping the gun."

"jumping the gun?" Jumping the gun is a colloquial expression meaning, runners lined up on a starting line and they start to run before the starter pistol is fired.

So, President Obama has admitted that we are going to war with Iran. This will draw in India and Pakistan who have hidden military agreements with the Iranians.

Baldrick, if you're reading this thread, maybe you can find the CNN clip that I saw today around 9:15 a.m., (CST) and you can post it here.

So we now have confirmation from the President of the USA that war on Iran is coming. The question is when? As I stated in the above post, Apple Computer whose stock is worth more than all of Poland, is set to announce a new product on March 7. This announcement will act as some type of diversion from something.

I want thank everyone for the pin requests and five stars.

Pentagon Prepares “Aerial Refueling” for Israeli Planes Striking Iran:

In a dramatic U-turn to show Israel that Washington is serious about its military option against Iran’s nuclear program, Pentagon officials disclosed Thursday, March 1, that “military options being prepared start with providing refueling for Israeli planes and include attacking the pillars of the clerical regime.

They include the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps and its elite Qods Force, regular Iranian military bases and the Ministry of Intelligence and Security."

Is Obama giving in to Israeli pressure over Iran?

When US President Barack Obama and Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu meet on Monday, neither heads of state will have to worry too much about plotting their war on Iran. Pentagon officials are saying that those wheels are already in motion.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, Pentagon sources this week say that both Washington and Jerusalem defense officials have already begun discussions on how the countries will work in cooperation with one another should they follow through with an attack.

And President Obama, if you sign off on this, it will be one of the catastrophically wrong-headed, chock-full of horrifically unintended consequences, moves ever made by a US politician in an election year.

Unless this is a total blitzkrieg, executed with absolute precision, this attack against Iran may well not go well for the US for the following reasons.

1. The US doesn't have the military troop strength, the money, or manufacturing capability of pursuing such a campaign effectively.

2. Leadership from nuclear armed Pakistan, Russia, and China have gone public, stating that in the case of any attack against Iran, they will come to the aid of Iran militarily.

Re: "Doorbert the Shill" for reporting that North Korea is testing nukes for Iran:

More from the Austrians, google translated:

"The longtime director of the Policy Planning Staff in the German Defense Ministry, Hans Rühle, writes in the "Welt am Sonntag" that "some of which now go out intelligence that North Korea has actually conducted a nuclear test in 2010, at least for Iran."

Supposedly this means that all military operations now will take for granted that the axis of uber-evil, i.e., North Korea and Iran, now just can't wait to shoot ICBMs at every capital in the "free and democratic" western world, just because they "hate it for its freedoms" [sic].

One does not have to be a rocket scientist to realize that this is simply yet another media fallback alibi to justify an offensive incursion into Iran, if and when it is required. The only question is if the global deflationary collapse (ala Lehman) will happen before or after, which in turn, as John Taylor wrote a few days ago, will then be promptly followed by the (luckily) terminal central planning hyper-reflation experiment.

In the meantime, let the crude liberation begin.

More propaganda that only sheeple can fall for. Prove to me which ship took the nuclear war head from Iran to North Korea. when, where. etc. How about analysis of nuclear isotope proving that the stuff in North Korea came from Iran.Yeah it's like the U.S. with its satellites would sit idlly by when Iran transports nuclear material to North Korea.

lemme get this straight...Iran is supposed to have shipped fissible material or a physics package to PRK and then THEY detonated it in 2010 and nobody noticed anything on a seismograph!??!

If I were an Iranian I would think it would be very advantageous to utilise the DPRK's expertise and facilities.

We're now well past the point where we must suspect if not outright presume Iran already has several deliverable warheads on missiles, because given the technology, the time they have had it, and the threat circumstances involved, it is quite likely to be so.

Do you really want to find out?

And as for the ludicrously naive notion that it's a Muslim Sin to develop Nukes, better tell Pakistan to repent, pronto!

And I notice Pakistan finally came out and openly aligned themselves in support of Iran, if the West or Israel attacks Iran.

U.S. Officials Believe Netanyahu Has Already Decided to Strike Iran

Channel 2 in Israel, sourcing a “senior American official”, says that the decision has already been made by the Israeli government to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities.

[link to www.algemeiner.com]

From Michael Rivero:

Let us recall that Israel attacked Iraq's nuclear power station at Orisak in 1961, even though again there was no evidence of a weapons program and more to the point, the reactor design was incapable of making weapons materials. And following the invasion of 2003, IAEA inspectors examined the remains of the Osirak power station and confirmed that there had never been any nuclear weapons facility underneath it, as Israel has underneath Dimona. As a side note, the 2003 invasion of Iraq was based on more claims by Israel of an Iraqi clandestine nuclear weapons program. Again, the claims were false.

So here we are again once more with Israel screaming about the Iranian nuclear threat, and having been batting zero up until how why is anyone even bothering to listen to these habitual liars?

But Israel has decided to bomb Iran's civilian power station based on nothing more than their paranoid delusion. This is, of course, an act of war, and Iran will be morally justified in launching an immediate counter-attack.

Israel is not worried about an Iranian counter-attack because their plan is to pile up lots and lots of American kids as bullet-stoppers to protect their precious Israeli soldiers and despite being clearly in the wrong, the US Government seems to be perfectly happy to provide said American children bullet stoppers in exchange for some generous donations to their re-election campaigns.

There is a word for this plan by the US Government to take your children and sell their services to a foreign owner, and that word is "slavery."

So, it is clear that the US government is unable and unwilling to stand up to Israel lust for conquest (as long as someone else' kids bleed for it). Fine. Let Israel attack Iran by themselves and let Israel deal with the consequences by themselves.

And on the day the US Government demands we send our children to defend Israel from Iran's righteous wrath, that should be the day we fire this government, and replace it with one that will value our children's lives more highly than those of Israel.

Iran lifts a veil: Tehran gives IAEA access to strategic Parchin Site

Iran says it will allow the UN nuclear watchdog to inspect the facility where the West suspects work is under way to develop nuclear warheads. Meanwhile, the world’s major powers have agreed to a new round of six-party talks with Iran.

"Given that Parchin is a military site, access to this facility is a time-consuming process and it can't be visited repeatedly," said Iran's diplomatic mission in Vienna, as cited by the Iranian semi-official ISNA news agency. However, the spokesperson then added that following IAEA demands, Tehran “will allow the IAEA to visit it one more time."

The statement comes as fears grow that Israel may soon strike Iran in an attempt to destroy its nuclear facilities.

One cheerful moment: Israel's undeclared nukes get a mention on the BBC

One cheerful moment, on last night’s Newsnight. Jeremy Paxman actually challenged the Israeli Ambassador, who seemed keen to attack Iran, over Israel’s nuclear weapons. First time in years I heard such a thing on the BBC.

Then when the Israeli Ambassador replied “Israel is not the one threatening to attack other countries” Paxman replied “You just discussed attacking Iran”.

All of which is entirely obvious, but almost totally absent from broadcast media.

El Al to Move Flights to IDF Base If Iran Attacks: Report

Israel’s national air carrier El Al will move its flights to military bases in the event of a war with Iran, according to the Hebrew-language Maariv newspaper.

Company executives reportedly met in an urgent discussion to deal with wartime scenarios as the Israeli government repeatedly warns that “time is running out” for a military attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

An El Al spokesman claimed that the report is “baseless” but did not say what the airline would do in case of war. He added that if a discussion of the subject had indeed been held, the company would not have commented on it.

Ben Gurion International Airport is located on the edge of the metropolitan Tel Aviv area, which would be a likely target by Iran in the event of war.

IF this story is true, it means that the execs at El Al have a bead on the Israeli timeline for war, and that timeline is very close at hand.

This story appears to be nothing more than propaganda to portray Iran as initiating this war. One possibility which should not be overlooked is of Israel faking an attack against either the US or Israel itself, to blame on Iran. But of course, common sense says, why would Iran do something that stupid?

Secretary of Defense and Former CIA Director, Panetta flips flops on Iran: 'We Will Act If We Have To'

US Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta on Tuesday vowed the United States would take military action to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon if diplomacy fails.

"Military action is the last alternative when all else fails," he said at the America Israel Policy Committee conference. "But make no mistake, we will act if we have to."

Netanyahu reportedly told Obama that Israel would remain the master of her own fate and would exercise its sovereignty in all matters of defense and foreign policy.

The statement was widely seen in Washington as a reaffirmation of US policy makers' belief that Israel will strike Iran in the coming months if Tehran does not alter its course.

IF I had the chance to question Secretary Panetta, here is what I would like to ask him, in light of the fact that he has stated that Iran is not creating nuclear weapons as of yet:

"Secretary Panetta, as you well appreciate, several nuclear-armed countries (Pakistan, China, and Russia, to be precise) have all had some in their leadership go public in stating that should Iran be attacked militarily, they would go to Iran's aid.

So isn't what we have here the potential for a global thermonuclear war over an alleged Iranian weapons program which cannot be proven to exist?!?"

Iran vs Israel: What The Media Wants You To Forget

The corporate media have been given their orders to throw the focus back on to Iran.

Here is a recap of what they are trying to make you forget.

1. Last Spring, Rose Gottemoeller, an assistant secretary of state and Washington's chief nuclear arms negotiator, asked Israel to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. Israel refused.

2. The United Nations passed a resolution calling on Israel to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and to submit to inspections. Israel refused.

[link to www.haaretz.com]

3. The IAEA asked Israel to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and to submit to inspections. Israel refused.

[link to www.ynetnews.com]

4. Iran's formal notification to the IAEA of the planned construction of the backup fuel-rod facility underscores that Iran is playing by the rules of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty which Iran has signed.

[link to news.antiwar.com]

5. Iran allows IAEA inspections of all its facilities.

[link to news.yahoo.com]

6. Contrary to face-saving claims, it appears that the US and Israel were both caught off guard by Iran's announcement of a planned underground (to avoid being bombed) enrichment facility. The reasoning is simple. Had the US or Israel announced the existence of he new facility before Iran's notified the IAEA, it would have put Iran on the defensive. As it is now, the US and Israel seem to be playing catch up, casting doubt on the veracity of Israel's claims to \"know\" that Iran is a nuclear threat.

7. The IAEA and all 16 United States Intelligence Agencies are unanimous in agreement that Iran is not building and does not possess nuclear weapons.

[link to news.antiwar.com]

" [link to www.newsweek.com]

8. In 1986, Mordachai Vanunu blew the whistle and provided photographs showing Israel's clandestine nuclear weapons factory underneath the reactor at Dimona.

[link to www.vanunu.com]

9. Israel made the same accusations against Iraq that it is making against Iran, leading up to Israel's bombing of the power station at Osirik. Following the invasion of 2003, international experts examined the ruins of the power station at Osirik and found no evidence of a clandestine weapons factory in the rubble.

[link to www.antiwar.com]

10. The United Nations has just released the Goldstone Report, a scathing report which accuses Israel of 37 specific war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza earlier this year. Israel has denounced the report as \"Anti-Semitic (even though Judge Goldstone is himself Jewish), and the United States will block the report from being referred to the War Crimes Tribunal at the Hague, thereby making the US Government an accessory after-the-fact.

11. Recently revealed documents prove not only that Israel has nuclear weapos, but actually tried to sell some to Apartheid South Africa. Who else Israel approached to sell nuclear weapons remains an unasked question.

[link to www.guardan.co.uk]

12. In 1965, Israel stole over 200-600 pounds of weapons-grade uranium from the United States.

[link to original.antiwar.com]

13. Declassified documents from the former South African regime prove not only that Israel has had nuclear weapons for decades, but has tried to sell them to other countries!

www.guardan.co.uk/world/2010/may/23/israel-south-africa-nuclear-weapons\"

We all need to be Joe Wilson right now. We need to stand up and scream, \"LIAR!\" at every politician and every talking media moron that is pushing this war in Iran. And we need to keep dong it until they get the message that we will not be deceived any more.

Israel wants to send your kids off to die in Iran, and YOU are the only one that can stop them.

Exposed: UN agency rips IDF for video alleging militants use its Gaza schools to launch rockets

A UN relief agency has shot down allegations levied by the IDF via an animated film posted on their official YouTube channel saying Hamas used UN schools and facilities to fire rockets at Israel.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) issued a statement Tuesday expressing its “concern” for the use of footage which wrongly suggested the agency’s complicity in “terrorist activities” targeting Israel. The agency also took issue with "the unauthorised use of its logo in computer-generated material."

“In a situation of conflict these allegations have potentially grave consequences. UNRWA takes with utmost seriousness the neutrality of its installations, particularly in times of heightened violence,” the agency said in a statement.

On Saturday the Israeli Defense Force’s (IDF) official Twitter account posted a link to a year-old video claiming “These are the tactics Hamas uses in the Gaza Strip.”

[link to rt.com]

----------------------

This kind of crudely crafted propaganda no longer works, except on the severely mentally challenged.

People can see through it very, very quickly.

But what is perhaps most troubling is that statement about Hamas "... intentionally hiding large weapons caches in “civilian homes, mosques, schools and hospitals.” makes every civilian home, every mosque, school and hospital in Gaza a target for the IDF.

Washington’s Blog: War in Gaza = War Over Natural Gas?

[link to www.nakedcapitalism.com]

We extensively documented that the wars in the Middle East and North Africa are largely about oil and gas. (Update: Iran has just started building its gas pipeline to Syria.)

As Professor Michel Chossudovsky noted in 2009, gas may be a central reason for the war over Gaza as well:

This is a war of conquest. Discovered in 2000, there are extensive gas reserves off the Gaza coastline.

British Gas (BG Group) and its partner, the Athens based Consolidated Contractors International Company (CCC) owned by Lebanon’s Sabbagh and Koury families, were granted oil and gas exploration rights in a 25 year agreement signed in November 1999 with the Palestinian Authority.

The rights to the offshore gas field are respectively British Gas (60 percent); Consolidated Contractors (CCC) (30 percent); and the Investment Fund of the Palestinian Authority (10 percent). (Haaretz, October 21, 2007).

The PA-BG-CCC agreement includes field development and the construction of a gas pipeline.(Middle East Economic Digest, Jan 5, 2001).

The BG licence covers the entire Gazan offshore marine area, which is contiguous to several Israeli offshore gas facilities. (See Map below). It should be noted that 60 percent of the gas reserves along the Gaza-Israel coastline belong to Palestine.

Re: Strait of Hormuz Thread - Closure Coming Soon
This video is 28 seconds long. Can someone tell me what Israeli weapon was used to cause this small Palestinian baby to die in the hospital in Gaza? Don't watch if you are under 18 years old or had something eat in the last 45 minutes.
